Mphakamseni The Arranged Man
#20BHEKUNINA
Morning came too quickly and unexpectedly. Here I am driving around this expensive neighbourhood looking for my daughter's house.
"I think we have arrived, well that's what the GPRS says. Don't tell me that this is their house, cause if yes then wow Jesus!" Khethiwe exclaims in shock.
They pressed the intercom and the gate slides open. They drove inside the yard with their mouths wide open and definatly speechless. This house is heaven.
"Wow," Khethiwe covered her mouth with her hands still in shock.
They stepped out of the car and they found the door wide open and there was so much noise, the house was upside down.
"I feel sick and scared." Bheki says, Khethiwe brushed his back assuring him that she is here for him through thick and thin.
They kept following the noise and admiring the house at the same time, until they found them at the backyard playing food fight, they stopped when they noticed that they have guests.
"Nice to meet you again Bheki. Sorry about the mess." Zubby says scanning his eyes around.
"Please don't stop on my account, we will come back some other time."
"Don't be silly. Let's go drink mans stuff while we leave the women to clean up this mess." Zubby whispers to Bheki, as they were about to go someone stopped them.
"And where the hell do you think you two are going?" Bongekile placed her hands on her waist looking at them.
"My queen I was just, ay love it's men's stuff." Zubby stutters.
Bheki's eye's popped out the minute he laid his eyes on Bongekile, she's glowing and looking beautiful as ever. As he was still fixed on Bonge, Phaka made his way and stood next to his mother putting his arms around her shoulders making Bheki a bit dizzy.
"Evening sir," Phaka greets politely with that deep husky voice of his. Bheki nodded and felt ashamed of the remarks he once used to insult him with.
"Can we please go inside we will clean this mess later." Zelo tells everyone. They all went inside and they sat comfortably on the couches falling into silence.
"I will be in my bedroom." Zubby's tells everyone as he stood up.
"You also part of this family so please do sit." Zelo commands him.
He sat down feeling unsure about the situation but he is thankful that his being recognised as a family member. That made his heart at ease.
Bheki rubbed his hands together, "there's no amount of sorries that will wipe all the pain and tears I've caused you. I will just start from the beginning." He sighed ready to talk about the past.
"Your mother was a lovely wonderful beautiful woman, full of life and was forever smiling. Her aura demanded respect she was the pillar of my strength until she fell pregnant. Everything was fine throughout the pregnancy but she took her last breathe when giving birth to you. I had to look for someone to take care of you, that's were I met Abirgil."
"Wow oky." That's all Zelo managed to say.
"Abigirl was a sweet woman when I first met her but things took a turn when we got married. She would brainwash me into loving her kids and have this hatred towards you. I cannot justify that cause I also practically took part in your misery," he wiped his tears. Your mother's name was Clementine Dube from Nongoma. My life came together when I met Khethiwe, she made me realise the past mistakes that I've done. I'm so sorry my daughter, I apologise from the depth of my heart." He kneels down still, "I know you hate me now but please forgive me someday. I apologize to you too Phaka, I regret all the wrongs I did." Bheki honestly says.
"I forgive you." Phaka tells Zelo's father.
"I forgave you a long time ago, you know I long knew that Abigirl wasn't my mother. Her actions and treatments spoke volumes so I did some digging. And I found this huge box that has my mother's letters and her photo's. I'm just glad that you acknowledge your mistakes. I'm just glad that she found me a man like Phaka which I will forever be grateful for, truly speaking I've never been this happier." Zelo chimps in smiling looking at her father.
Bheki couldn't believe his ears, so all along his daughter knew everything and she kept it to herself, all the pain she buried it within herself.
"I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could erase all the past and brighten your future with only happiness and prosperity." They stood up and they hugged each other for a very long time. "If you don't mind I would like to introduce you to my wife Khethiwe Khumalo and your little sister on the way.
Zelo smiled looking at her as they shook hands. "I hope you will love my dad even in the next life. His even gained umkhaba madoda and becoming a yellow bone." They laughed.
They chilled and shared some funny moments. Simon was surprised to know that Bonge and Simon are divorced and she is now re-married and is living happily, he was happy for her.
Khethiwe started to have funny painful cramps but she ignored them and continued to make food until the pain striked harder and she couldn't hold it anymore. She groaned in pain holding her lower part of the belly.
"Are you okay? Maybe you've been standing for too long come sit." Bongekile orders her, Khethiwe tried sitting down but the pain was unbearable, she let out an excruciating scream ever making everyone stand on their feet.
"The baby ahhhhh, I think hmmmm."
The guys didn't waste anymore time they carried her to the car cause she was now unable to walk.
"Can you drive faster!" Bheki is sweating and panicking in fear.
"I'M TRYING OK!" Phaka shouts unoticely. He wasn't driving but flying and the screams were making them to panic more.
They arrived at the hospital and Bheki ran inside to go get a wheelchair and he ran past the Ngcobo's without noticing them.
"Aibo isn't that Bheki Khumalo nangu eyosithela nesithulo esinamasondo." One of the aunt say. They tried stretching their necks but he was long gone.
Khethiwe was wheeled inside and the doctor's attended to her immediately cause she was now bleeding.
