MPHAKAMSENI THE ARRANGED MAN#37
ZAMKITHI
I cannot believe this, how can God let this happen to me? Who could do something so cruel by waking up someone from the dead? I saw him with my naked two eye's. I saw Simon and I instantly became blind. Is he not dead? What did he want? It's pretty obvious that he is the one that has been stealing my food in this house and making my life a living hell, but how?
I can't bring myself to live in this house anymore, I need to save myself from torture already I'm blind. How will I even make it to the road. I have been cupped up in this house for far too long surviving only with water, I can't seem to do anything for myself. I take baby steps and I don't even know where I'm going, I'll just follow whatever I touch and allow my feet to take me wherever they decide to take me. I hear cars and I assume I'm on the main road and I don't even know which direction to take. I gibble with my legs follwing the soft grass, I think I lost my way cause I can't find the grass anymore. A huge wave comes towards me honking, I stop and try to listern from which direction the noise is coming from. I felt hot air coming towards me and I felt a stinging sensation on my back making my bones crack. I fell down on the ground and i stumble trying to run away from whatever is hitting me. Minutes later it sinks in that I've been knocked down by a truck. I felt my chest close finding it for me hard to breathe. I wish I could see my kids one last time, I wish that one day the Ngcobo family will forgive me for all the pain I've caused them. I felt my spirit leaving my body, no one could have survived this my body was beyond repairs and I'm glad I left the world of the living. I look at my body and felt my spirit cringe. I saw a film of my life, the pain I've caused people, the horrible things I've done, the heart's I've broke. I see Simon standing from a distance I decided to make my way to him. Maybe this is the time I correct my wrongs on the other side.
"Why didn't you kill me from the start instead of torturing me?" I ask making my way to him.
"The plan was to make your life a living hell, which I'm glad I did." He replies with a widest smiles plastered on his face.
"I guess I got to pay the price."
"And you did." He continues to smile.
He smiled one last time and walked away. He looks much more younger and very much handsome. Who knows maybe I can correct my wrongs and be a good wife to him. Who am I kidding even Jesus himself hasn't even accepted my soul.MAWE
"Let me get this straight, you watched your child being raped everyday and you didn't do nothing. When tables have turned you decide to take action upon your hands which you failed to do when it was upon your daughter. So you poisoned them." The officer asks ask feeling disgusted by the sight of this woman infront of her.
"I know I failed her but what I did was the best thing I've ever done. Can you do me a favour, can you please find my daughter I just want to know is she's safe wherever she is." Mawe begs.
"What if she long died or maybe loving her life in peace? If she is still alive, what if she doesn't want to see you?"
"It's worth a try sisi," theo officer sighs not knowing what to say any further. Mawe takes out the a picture of his daughter and handed it to the police officer. Atleast in jail they allowed her to be with her daughter's picture.
"Oky I'll see what i can do." She looks at the picture and her eye's popped out. "Wesisi are you trying to tell me that Nomkhosi who now calls herslef Sikhanyiso is your daughter?"
"Y…you know her, ow my goddness. Where does she stay?" Mawe becomes emotional.
"I don't know her personally, but she's doing fine where ever she is judging from her picture's she post." She then took out her phone and logged in on her facebook account and searched for her. "She, she looks happy. I heard she's engaged."
"Ow my God," Mawe continues to scroll down looking at her pictures not believing that her daughter made it in life without the mother's love. "I know I wasn't the best mother but help me find her."She continues scrolling down looking at her picture's with a heart full of pain. Until she came across a picture of her and her father. Her heart panicked in fear thinking how did they find each other. She looked at another picture captioned Mrs Ngcobo to be. Her chest tightened finding it hard to breathe in and out. Did she go to the village to go look for her father? But I've never told her anything about her dad. And now she's getting married. Later she was taken to her cell as she was arrested for murder and was sentenced life in prision but that didn't affect her at all and she was happy more than anything. It's been six month's already but she's loving every minute of it.

That man did a number one on Nqo. The reason why I still have the evidence is to back myself up just incase she decides to open a case against me. But I don't think that will be happening anytime soon casue I'm yet still not done with her. I got her admitted to the lunatic hospital if that's what they call it, and I admit she's very much insane. I'm not a bad person I'm just doing what every man would have done to protect their family.
Mama P has gone pretty big and she's always tired. I'm looking at her roughly closing and opening the fridge.
"Amasi awekho?" She turns to look at me and she's in a vurge of crying. Now I'm confused as hell. Did she mean porridge?
"Amasi?" I ask and she nods her head vigorously. "But we don't even buy that. Infact asiwadli nokuwadla babe, you don't even like them." Oky I shouldn't have said that.
"Well now I eat them and I want them now!" Baby girl is pretty mad.
"Okay, okay I'll go buy them for you." I say already on my feet.
"Are you cheating on me Christopher Mphakamseni Ngcobo?" He frowns in confusion. Maybe his wife has lost it. Why would she just ask this question out of the blu? "You know what I'm coming with you I'll shoot all those monsters who keep looking at my husband. YOU ARE MINE AND MINE ALONE!" She screams marching to her room.
"God what the hell just happened? God don't turn your back on me when I need you now more than ever. When is she giving birth I miss my sweet wife." She comes down the steps with her handbag.
"Ehe you still have time to talk to yourself masahambe, ngeke ngidlale Wena Mina la!" He watched her as she walked out with a penguin walk and smiled to himself.
"One month left bekezela ndoda." He says to himself as he followed his wife to the car.NOMKHOSI
I've been feeling under the weather lately and it worse in the morning, I've gained weight, my stomach looks bloated and it's becoming bigger day by day. Muzi literally dragged me to the hospital, he was now more concerned about my health. What if I have something inside that's cancerous or even dangerous? We were sitting patiently waiting for the results, I think I got sick the day after my introduction. My father finally did imbeleko for me and now I feel more like a family member.
Finally the doctor is here,
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Ngcobo you're twenty six weeks pregnant."
"WHAT!" I utter in shock.
"That's like….six months or so. Are you sure doc?" I can see a smile on his face.
"100% sure. Can you please follow me so we could do an ultrasound just to check if is everything oky with the baby." Without wasting time Muzi stands up as a proud and helps me to stand.
They follow him to the room, she layed on the bed and lifted her t-shirt up. "Here's your baby right there." The doctor points out on the screen. A heartbeat filled their ears making Khosi to cry. "Your baby looks fine and healthy well can't seem to see the gender since it's hiding it. I will prescribe medication for you that will help with the nausea. You will be doing weakly check ups." He jots down.
"Thank you for giving me the best gift of my life Pinky." He says kissing my forehead. How come I did not get I was pregnant? My periods were on and off confusing me.I'm so dissapointed in myself, this means I have to quite school and look after the baby. I'm looking outside the window while Muzi was driving and stealing glances at me. When we arrived at home I just threw myself on the bed and cried.
"I know this came out as a shocker and I know you're not happy. I admit I'm happy at first I questioned my manhood but I guess bra God had a better plans for me. Your life won't stop because of our baby that's growing inside of you, your plans will continue as planned nothing will change. I won't stand in your way. I know your dreams and happiness matter to you the most my love. Once you give birth we will hire someone to help us with our baby girl cause I'm sure mum will be dealing with the penguins." He her arm.
"I'm just scared." She sniffs.
"I'm here for you baby. I just can't wait to hold my baby girl in my arms."
"And already you are assuming it's a girl, didn't you hear what the doctor said. He can't see the gender." He smiles thinking of the dream he had, so this is what his father meant.
"My father told me and I thought I was hallucinating and he also gave her a name Nezibusiso. Heh baby this means you got pregnant the time I lasted for fifteen minutes that's if my calculations are right. Ay uyaloyo moloyi wami."
"Mxm you silly," they laugh and fall into comfortable silence. "So Muntu you were serious about what you said about school and stuff?"
"I meant every word my love. I won't stop in the way to pursue your dreams. I'm here for you we got each other's back."
"I actually can't believe I'm pregnant. We going to be parents."
"Thank you Pinky."
It's good to know that I will continue with my studies and he will not stand in my way. Just the support system from him that will be enough. I wonder where's Mawe and how she's doing, I can never run away from reality she's my mother after all.
