It's complicated

Chapter 47

-Grace's POV-

"Wait what?" Luke asks,

"You can't do that. What about the fan?" Michael interjects.

"Wait is this about the whole clubbing thing?" I ask. I swear, if that's it, s*** is gonna hit the fan.

"No, no, no. The fans already know. We posted a tweet and everyone who ordered tickets is getting an email or phone call. We aren't disclosing why this is happening right now. When we land in Sydney, we will go back to the house and explain everything." Tori says.

"I want to know now," Calum tells her sternly.

"Pack your things. We leave in an hour." Josh says and him and Tori shuffle out the door.

Michael kicks the couch, "What the f*** was that about?"

"I don't know, but we can't do anything about it. Let's just start packing," Luke solemnly says. We all go to our bedrooms and pack our things.

We stand in front of the terminal, tears in my eyes. It was my first tour and I didn't even get to finish it. Calum comes up to me and wraps his arm around me. I fall into his shoulder and he drops his stuff, grabbing me and pulling me into his chest. I sob against him and he kisses my head.

"It's not fair." I whisper.

"I know. I know." He strokes my head and I give a shaky breath. The final boarding call comes, and I dry up my tears. We all grab our things and walk onto the plane, Tori and Josh right behind us. I stick in my earphones, turn my phone on airplane modem and drift off to sleep for the long flight.

We walk out of the car and to the front door. We stand there, not really sure what to do. I'm not sure I can go in there. What if the blood stain is still there? What's gonna happen when I see my stuff all over the place?

Ashton places a shaky hand on the doorknob and pushes the door open. We don't go in though. We stand there, frozen like statues. I take a deep breath and make the first step.

I look around. The floor is clean, but a rug is missing. I assume there was blood on it.i notice movement in another room and freeze. Is somebody here?

Luke comes up to me and starts to say something, but I put a finger to my lips, silencing him.

What? He mouthes. I point to the living room and we see a person walking out of there, towards the kitchen. My lungs feel like they close up from fear.

"Go outside, now." Luke whispers and I don't hesitate. The boys all go to Luke and he explains what's going on. Tori and Josh are still outside, getting everything out of the car and paying the driver.

I stay outside. Luke grabs an umbrella and slowly starts sneaking towards the kitchen. The boys follow. They disappear around the corner, and I debate whether to go in or not. I stay out, until I hear a scream.

I rush into the house, round the corner, and see Officer Biaz standing there, a puddle of water and a cup by her feet.

"What the h*** are you doing here?" I ask, panting.

"Tori and Josh were supposed to tell you."

"What's going on?" Tori asks as her and Josh enter the kitchen.

"Don't you think it would've been, I don't know, useful to know a cop would be waiting for us in the house?" Michael asks.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot."

"You forgot? How about next time you are supposed to get your paycheck we "forget." You can't do that to us. Not after what happened." I say, getting in Tori's face.

"Look, Detective Mason is on her way. She will be explaining the situation and why you weren't able to finish your tour," Officer Biaz offers, trying -but failing- to lessen the tension.

We hear the door close and my heart picks up.

"Biaz, are they here yet?" I hear the voice of Detective Mason, calming me. She turns the corner and smiles at us. "I'm sure you are all very upset and confused about why you are here." Michael scoffs, but Detective Mason doesn't seemed fazed. "Of course you all know that Gabby-"

"Can you just get on with it," Ashton unpatiently says.

"Well, given the situation, we thought it best that you guys come home. You 5 have received death threats from the same person we believe killed Gabby."

So much drama right now! This story just keeps taking turns that even I don't know are coming. Track just started up for me, so I won't be getting home until around 5:30 or later. So, the updates will be occurring later. I'm taking a trip to Texas starting the 12th and I won't be back till the 16th. I don't know if I will have wifi, and my days will be very busy. If the story hasn't ended by then, I'm not sure if I'll be able to update everyday, if at all. I will apologize in advance. If there is anyway I can update, I will.
