"What's the video about again?" Cecilia mused as she ransaked John's closet and observed him from the corner of her eye, him carelessly lying on their bed and gently strumming on his guitar playing the opening for "Under the Bridge" every now and then.
"Anthony walking in the city," he mumbled, then adding after a pause, "I guess."
"And what will you be doing?"
"Playing guitar," John answered, "I think they'll project a some sort of a background in the studio or something."
"Alright," Cecilia nodded, "I mean, I don't know. Just wear these."
She then laid a pair of brown khaki pants and a red-white-striped collared shirt on the bed and motioned John to take a look at the outfit she had put together for him.
"These, huh?" he adjusted his position and moved over towards Cecilia in order to take a closer look.
"Alright," he agreed without giving it too much thought and started dressing himself in the attire his lovely wife had chosen.
"Oh, and uh.. Wear this as well," Cecilia then giggled as she handed him a chullo she had randomly pulled from the closet. It was multicoloured with purple and green and had white wolves stitched in.
"This?" John lightly laughed as he took the hat and observed it for a second, soon agreeing with amusement, "Well, it is winter. Why not?"
"Exactly," Cecilia emphasized as she laughed herself, "You'll look super funky for your new video."
"I don't really care how I'll look like," he then shook his head and shrugged, but smiled soon after as he fixed his gaze on Cecilia, "But I do know that I will look super funky and cool, because you picked it out for me."
Finished with dressing himself, he put on the hat Cecilia had suggested and stepped closer to his beautiful wife, then wrapped his arms around her and whispered before giving her a kiss, "Thank you."
"You're welcome," she smiled as she kissed him back,"What do you want to do when you're back from the shoot?"
"I don't know, something chill. Stay home. Maybe we can paint and listen to records and smoke some joints or make dinner or watch a movie or something," he casually replied in a sincere manner and smiled.
"Alright," Cecilia nodded, "We can do that."
"Yeah?" John grinned, "Great. I should go downstairs now, Flea will be here any minute."
"Alright," Cecilia nodded in agreement and walked John downstairs, then sending him off with a kiss a soon as she saw his bandmate's car pull up on their driveway. The band was set to shoot a video for their new single that was chosen to be "Under the Bridge" and that mentioned shoot was planned to be happening today.
Cecilia waved and smiled as she watched John and Flea drive away, already excited for him to be back as soon as the shoot was done so that she could have her time with her most adorable of husbands. The band was in the middle of their two week break after finishing the American leg of the tour and that video shoot was the only thing they agreed to have in their schedule during their supposed time off. Cecilia was actually even a bit excited for how the video was going to turn out considering that Gus was directing it. She was sure that it was going to be something cool. Mellow, considering the song, but still very cool.
And besides that video being shot, John's long awaited time off and existence together with his adored wife had come across no interruptions whatsoever, making him calm and even unusually cheery compared to the past few months when he was away. Cecilia was absolutely thrilled and so very happy over the fact that John was feeling better and he himself felt that way too, feeling calm and safe and loved in his home that he shared with his amazing girl. He was still worried and anxious about the tour going ahead in a matter of days and he dreaded that thought, but he also didn't want to ruin his time home with thoughts about touring and the band and especially his drained relationship with Anthony, which was still at the point that it was at already weeks ago — they didn't talk to each other unless they really had to.
