"I'm so exhausted, I'm gonna drop right here," Cecilia breathed out and crumbled onto her living room sofa.
"Tell me about it," John plopped down right beside her.
It was a late Sunday night and Cecilia and John had just made it back to LA from their trip to Oklahoma. Cecilia had spent her last day taking a walk around the town with her dad and paying a visit to grandma' Esther's house since she hadn't been in a while. John, figuring Cecilia would appreciate some time alone with her father, had opted to stay in the house and play some guitar.
"So, in conclusion, how did you fancy Oklahoma and my dad?" Cecilia turned to her boyfriend.
"Well, in conclusion, I loved it out there. I wouldn't exactly live there, but I did enjoy visiting. And your dad is really cool, by the way. We had a good chat," he replied and smiled.
"Really? About what?"
"Oh, nothing special. Guy stuff, boxing," John shrugged before adding cheekily, "I did miss some things being over there, you know."
"Yeah? Like what?"
"Getting naked with my girl," John laughed and grabbed Cecilia, carrying her into the bedroom.
"I love you, you nut job," she giggled as John placed her onto the bed.
"And I love you," he smiled, giving his girlfriend a kiss.

The next morning, Cecilia woke up before John. She looked at him, all bundled up inside their blanket, and smiled. In usual John Frusciante manner, he hadn't put too much effort into preparing himself for the Oklahoma winter and of course, he had managed to catch a cold, coming down with an awful case of a blocked and runny nose. So while in his sleep, his mouth was slightly open and that blocked nose made some quite hilarious snoring noises. Cecilia didn't mind at the sight, though, she thought it was cute as hell.
She then dressed herself in her robe and wondered through the apartment into her kitchen. It was still quite early in the morning, but her head was already buzzing and her mind was occupied by all of the things she felt like she needed to get done during the day - unpacking, watering her plants, calling mom to inform her that she was back from the trip alive and well, calling Gus to ask him when he would be needing her. For some reason, she felt like she was in some mindless hurry and had to get all these things done as quickly as possible. The three days spent in Oklahoma felt literally like forever, it was almost as the time stood still while she was there, but now, being back in LA, everything seemed to be moving in light speed. Reminding herself that Oklahoma always had a some sort of a strange effect on her sense of time, she managed to calm herself down and relax.
Suddenly, she was shaken out of her thoughts by John entering the kitchen and mumbling a hoarse "Good morning".
"Could have woken me up," he stood in front on the kitchen window, rubbing his eyes, trying to adjust to the daylight.
"You were tired and looking all cute snoring with your mouth open, I couldn't," Cecilia chuckled.
"Snoring? I don't snore," John frowned.
"With that blocked nose, yeah you do," she laughed again and grabbed a cup to pour him some coffee.
"Thank you," he mumbled after accepting the cup, still rolling his eyes at Cecilia's comments on his snoring.
"What are your plans for the day?" he then kissed her cheek, already dismissing the past subject.
"Well, nothing that special, but I have to unpack my things, water the plants since they are probably already dying and give my mom a mandatory call to let her know that I'm home and, well, alive in general. Oh, and also call Gus to discuss my schedule. What about you?"
