"I knew I'd fine you here." Y/n gave Dorian a smile, closing her book and sitting up. "Alaric says there's a call for you." A smile instantly came to the young witches lips, already knowing who it was.
"Thank you Dorian!" She yelled as she scrambled up, jogging to the Headmaster's office to take the call. But, instead of the call from her parents, they were standing there, talking to Alaric.
"There's our baby girl!" Damon calls out as he picks her up and spins her around.
"Dad! Momma!" She laughs, hugging her dad tightly first, then once she's set down, rushes into her mom's arms next.
"We wanted to see you sweetheart. Your daddy missed you." Both his daughter and wife look over at the supposedly tough man.
"What? Can't a dad miss his daughter?"
Y/n gives a giggle. "Of course! But, you like to admit you don't miss things."
He knows she's only joking, but his eyes soften. "But you're my baby girl, I will always miss you." Y/n giggles, giving her dad another hug.
"Love you too, daddy." He smiles, kissing the top of his daughter's forehead.
"Okay, so what did you need to tell us next time you saw us?" Elena asks, sitting on the couch. A pained look crosses the young witch's face, worrying her parents.
"Baby girl?" Y/n takes a deep breath, pulling away from her dad.
"I've been thinking a lot about this, and I've talked to Freya a lot and Hope as well. I...like girls. Specifically, one girl in particular." The news slightly shocks her parents, but Elena is thrilled for her baby girl, happy that her baby feels comfortable and safe telling them.
"You're dating someone?" Damon asks, worry etched across his face. Y/n gives a nod. "No. Absolutely not! You're to young to learn about heartbreaks and love! You're still my baby! And babies can't have babies!"
"Daddy, I'm gay, I can't have a baby unless I'm with a guy. Which, I never will be. And I won't get heartbroken, not with her. Daddy," she pauses, light coming to her eyes as she gives a happy giggle, "she's so sweet and kind, always puts me first and loves me for me."
"Who is it?" Y/n pauses. "Josie Saltzman."
"She's adorable hun." Elena tells, a smile coming to her lips. A red tint appears on Y/n's cheeks.
"Daddy?" She asks softly, looking up at him with wide eyes. "I love her." Y/n follows up. The vampire frowns, but nods. Y/n squeals, running into her dad's arms.
"If she hurts you-"
"She won't." Y/n assures. "But even if she did, you would do nothing, understand?" The witch gives him a glare that rivals his.
"You're my little girl. I swore to protect you."
"And you have, but I'm getting older, let me learn things I need to without you interfering, please." He gives a groan, not liking it, but nods.
The family talks for a while, and then goes out for lunch (perks of the school being named after you), talking more about how classes are, and learning more about the girlfriend they have yet, but eventually will meet. Y/n's happy her parents accept her for who she is, but hopes they don't embarrass her in front of Josie.
