Walking through the forest, Y/n knew something was wrong. She didn't know what, but she could feel it. But that's when she heard it. She felt it too. Footsteps, and a lot of them. The huntress kept walking, then hiding before getting too close.
The Nilgaardian soldiers walked through the forest, to a rundown castle that seen better days. And that's when Y/n saw her, Yennefer. The woman was a ways, but had her eyes close, feeling the soldiers get closer. She knew it was time.
Y/n watched from the safety of the tree as the fight started, but it was clear that pretty early on, they were gonna loose. And to Y/n, it was her duty to help. So she did, fighting against the soldiers that she hated so much, then made her way to Yennefer and helped her fight.
But Y/n was too preoccupied to see the soldier come up from behind her, slashing the knife across her back, causing her to cry out in pain as she ducked away. But revenge was best served hot, burning him alive, then setting fire to the rest of the soldiers, having enough of their shit.
"Bloody bastard ruined my cloak..." she mumbled, wincing as she put the cloak back on.
"Y/n." Yennefer muttered, walking up to the huntress, who gives her a nod.
"Yennefer, hope my interference was okay?"
"More than, thank you." Y/n bows her head, but before she can leave, Yennefer lays a hand on Y/n shoulder, and keeps her still.
"You don't need to heal me, I can do that on my own."
"I know.." the woman simply says, and heals. Y/n anyways.
After a few seconds, Y/n moves her shoulder, smiling when she doesn't feel the pain anymore.
"Thank you, Yennefer." She says softly, but the woman still doesn't let her leave. "Yen?"
"Stay? With me?" It's quiet between the two, and Yennefer thinks Y/n won't stay, but when Y/n nods, the magical woman smile.
