Now that she thought about it, maybe loosing her job so she had to become a Lyft driver was a good thing. Otherwise, she wouldn't have meet the one person she had a deep crush on.
It was an ordinary day, the sun was shining, gas had dipped thirty cents at her favorite gas station, someone paid for her coffee, and she had gotten a twenty dollar tip. So, it may've been an ordinary day, but it was also her lucky day.
Around noon, after finishing her lunch, she resumed her work, immediately getting another ping from the app. She quickly threw her garbage away, but refilled her cup before leaving. The drive wasn't that far, and when she had gotten there, Y/n sent out a quick message. Waiting for either a reply, or for the person to come out.
Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long, and when she heard laughter coming from the front door, she immediately straightened up and waited. The car door opened seconds later, the woman telling Y/n where to go, and then drove off. Abd when she looked at the rearview mirror, she nearly slammed on the breaks when she realized, her idol Lizzy Caplan was in her car.
"How is your day going?" Y/n asked, not knowing if the woman would enjoy small talk.
"It was good actually. Spent the day with a few friends, and I have a date tonight, which I'm not really looking forward too, but they insisted." Y/n gives a frown, stopping at a red light.
"If you don't want to go, then don't. Do they make you scared or something? I'm sorry for asking, but if they do, then don't go." Lizzy gives a laugh, shaking her head.
"No no, they don't make me scared, just slightly creeped out. Especially when they said they watch Mean Girls every day."
"I mean, it's a good movie, but I understand. Don't go then. May I ask, do they know any other roles you been in, or just that movie?"
Lizzy raises her eyebrow, causing Y/n to blush, but shrugs her shoulders. "I actually don't know. They never said anything."
"Then message them, and tell them you're not feeling well. Or, if you want, go, then fake an emergency. Have someone call you to get out of it."
"That's amazing, but my friends set me up with this person, they won't do that."
"I will." Y/n pips up, too eager, then blushes as she shakes her head.
"You're cute. Whenever I get an Lyft, other drivers ask me about Mean Girls and nothing else, but you know my other movies."
"I really liked Cloverfield and Now You See Me."
"I wasn't in the first one."
"I know, but if I say the second one, it'll seem like I only saw the second one. Which I didn't." Lizzy gives a chuckle, then the car's quiet the rest of the ride home.
When she pulls up, Lizzy not only gives her a tip, but also gives her her cell number, telling her to call around ten that night. "Or maybe, you can call a bit earlier too, that's fine." Y/n blushes, thanking the woman before driving off, where she can safely scream in glee knowing she has a date with a beautiful actress.
