Grabbing the bags from the car, Emily followed after her daughter into the shopping center, still unsure when she wanted to get for dinner. She knew she wanted to cook, because anymore takeout was gonna make her ill. Pizza and Chinese is good and all, however, having it nearly everyday, it just gets tiring. And very unhealthy.
"Can we get some Oreo's?" Emily looks over at her daughter, waving a package around, giving her my a sweet smile.
"Don't we still have some at home?" Y/n pouts.
"Like, a row. But you and momma always sneak down after I'm asleep to eat some." Emily narrows her eyes, crossing her arms.
"And how do you know that?" Y/n gives a bright smile.
"You just told me." Emily gives an embarrassed smile, but can't help but feel proud of her daughter.
"Fine, but no more sweets." Y/n does a little wiggle, then drops the package in the cart. They walk down a few aisles, grabbing things they wanted and needed. And then stopping at the chip aisle, because JJ wrote down a bag of Boom Chicka Pop, but didn't know the kind.
"Sweetheart, text your mom and-" Y/n interrupts her, thrust her phone into her mom's hands.
"You! I need to pee!" Y/n gpes running to the bathroom, leaving behind a chuckling mom. Putting in her daughter's password - you know, for emergencies - Emily brings up her daughter's messages and composes a new one to her wife. Then, exits out after she's done. But when the phone vibrates seconds later, the text isn't from her wife, but some person named Nicole. Who, as far as Emily knew, was the new girl that moved from New York over two months ago. But, that wasn't the surprising part. It was a 'I love you' text, along with, "I can't wait to kiss you again," that immediately followed. Then the phone vibrated again, the text from her wife popping up. But, if she answers, it'll show Y/n that she was snooping. Was it really snooping though?
Instead, she let the screen darken, before putting it in her pocket. She grabbed the two bags, then moved on, meeting her daughter at the end of the aisle. "What momma say?"
"I don't know, just grabbed two and moved on." She handed over her phone, watching her daughter check it, before looking up at her.
"She said cheddar." Emily playfully rolled her eyes.
"She always wants the cheddar one. Want one too?" Y/n gives a nod, and even though Emily wants so desperately to ask about Nicole, she schools her features, and goes on with shopping.

Walking into the BAU room the next morning, Emily was excited to share the news that her baby girl has a girlfriend. When she told JJ last night, the woman nearly went to ask their daughter about it, but Emily stopped her, telling her wife that Y/n would come to them when she's ready.
"Ladies, how was the weekend?" Emily gives a smile.
"Amazing, we learned Y/n had a girlfriend." Derek looked up, one of his eyebrows shooting up as a smirk comes to his lips.
"Oh really?and she didn't bother to let her Uncle Derek know? That's so rude."
"Well, she doesn't know we know."
"Ooh, you were snooping then."
"I was not! I had to text JJ, but my phone was at home, so I asked Y/n to do, but she pushed her phone in my hands so she can go pee. And after I texted JJ, the girl's message popped up."
"Hmmm. Still snooping." Emily rolled her eyes, knowing Morgan was kinda right, but didn't care because she couldn't wait to tell Penelope, because the hacker extraordinaire was gonna do some not so legal doings. But, Penelope would do anything to keep her adorable niece put of harms way. So really, she was doing it to protect her. Either way, Emily could be in a lot of trouble with her daughter very soon.
