5 days later

7 am

Another morning has arrived. I wake up early because i'm going to check Fairfax today.

And it was surprising that i'm doing well within the past five days...

Day 1, after getting my allowance, I tried few snacks while exploring nearby areas.

Day 2, Alex sent me a request on Facebook and I accepted an errand that she offered because my dumbass mind accidentally mentioned my situation at the moment. I need the money in case the allowance runs out.

Day 3 - 5, the task is simple. She has a Corgi named Kiwi that needs to be watched because it's sick and I should give the meds on time. I let it stay in my apartment because she said hers was messy at the moment.

Within 3 days I earned 6 dollars plus the burger and fries from McDonald's that she bought yesterday.

Extra, but I'm not complaining.

During the errands, I would just watch interviews of Elizabeth Olsen and then shut it when Avery calls. I've repeated Wind River 5 times, WandaVision 4 times and I've checked the rest.

By 7th day, I'm pretty sure I am done seeing all her interviews and the only thing that's left is saving pictures and checking out
facts and information.

I'm able to enjoy the entire day since it is Alex's rest day. It thrilled her when Kiwi approached her last night. That was the first time again that Kiwi greeted her ever since she got sick.

12 pm

After my satisfied lunch in Burger King, I check my maps while I'm still there. I just think it would be a good idea to plan my next stop so that when grandma is here, I can ask for farther places.

The advice to not browse on your phone while walking in a public place is real as shit. I never believed it until now...

Y/n didn't realize that she spent 30 minutes browsing on her maps inside the fast-food chain. The employee talked to her since the customers keep coming in and the place is getting crowded.

Still not done planning, she stayed in the pavement browsing, deciding the next things to do and as she was about to leave, a red panel van stopped beside her and before she could even realize it, they snatched her.

The tire screeches before it went back to the road once again. The captors put y/n to sleep by covering her mouth and nose with a handkerchief that has a chemical that can make a person dose off.

Although, y/n couldn't react or scream for help because the course of events was so fast. Good thing, few people saw what happened.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Under the foldable seat, the other end of the metal bar is dangling. She pulls it...

Y/n strikes the man in the head with the metal...

"Go! Go!" Running as fast as she can, almost pushing the girl in front of her making sure she wouldn't be behind...

Behind them, beside the red panel van, a man wearing a masquerade mask aims his gun with an intent to kill...

As they turn to the street on their right, a loud crashing sound burst and echoes...

*Y/N's POV*

"Go to the other side, while both of us will be in this area. Make sure you do not let another rat slip in your hand or else I won't give you a fair share." I open my eyes and the first thing I see is my hair covering my face and a metal curve.

"Let's move!" He ordered, and they all left the van immediately.

The moment they leave the van, I slowly move and look around. My bag was on the seat on the left and there was a girl beside me, asleep and her hands were tied too.

I saw a man in a mask outside guarding the back door facing its back in this direction. And although he is there, his mind isn't focused. He kept looking around except here like he was surveiling.

Then it clicks in. The dream.

Out of nowhere, the events returned like a fast counting numbers and I came to my senses.

As I realized what was going on, I realized how quiet it is that it rings in my ear. I can hear my breath and my heart beating and I just knew shit's about to go down if I don't act now.

I looked around the van for something useful but remembered in the bag and in the pocket, there is a pocket knife that my uncle gave to me as a birthday gift.

Luckily, my hands are tied in front, not in the back or in the corner of this van. They were in a pursuit that they can't secure their victims.

Before they captured me, I can hear a siren getting nearer my way earlier, but I didn't give it a notice because I was really excited to go to Santa Monica Beach. How unfortunate.

I put the knife in between my knees, the sharp tip facing me, then rub the thick tape in it fast until it rips apart.

I grab my bag and went to the girl and wake her. I don't know how long she is asleep, but I hope she wakes up.

I gestured for her to be quiet when she saw me. She did, but the problem is, she tears up in fear and I don't like that.

Not because she's emotional but because I've watched a lot of crime documentaries, videos, films and even listened to podcasts to which some of them put me in a rage because the victims are helpless. And what put them in that place is that same thing that I can see in her eyes.

I tried to find the metal bar. Maybe the dream can help... And it did.
