After checking y/n, Stan told me to change her clothes and pack a few because they have to bring her back to Saf's lab.

"Hey." I said trying to make her look at me. She is sitting in the toilet, slouched, head down.

She didn't move, I kneel down and look at her face and it looks like she wasn't even alive.

It's like her soul left her body. You can tell in her eyes. A part of what makes her- her, is shut off.

She might be staring in the floor, in her pants or in my pants, but to me, she is staring into nothingness, or the void.

I take a deep breath and get the towel. "I'm gonna change your clothes, ok?" I said. No response.

After drying her hair gently, I remove her shirt and cover it with the towel, then remove her bra.

I don't want to step into her boundary, I might get killed if I do this time. We're still not good if I can recall and if i'm not mistaken.

. . .

"I'll just get some clothes upstairs." I said as I put her down in the couch. Saf nods.

The moment I step into my room, I remember the gifts. I sigh.

Looks like I will wait for another week, or month.

I use the backpack we used last time when we went there. Aside from her clothes, I bring a few of mine, her old sketchbook, and some of her stuffs. Hoping she will recover as soon as possible.

"Stan said he will be back in fifteen minutes... Just buying some food. I called Officer James and he is on the way too." I nod and sit in the couch. "Tough day?" She asks. "At first I thought it wasn't, but I was wrong. This day is one hell of a ride. Do you want anything? Snacks? Or a drink?" I ask.

She shakes her head no. "Just rest." I look at y/n still in the couch, not moving a muscle. As much as I want to go to her, I'm so exhausted in all aspects.

3 am

"Are you serious?" I ask, shocked at what they are doing. "You cannot disregard the fact that she almost killed you." Nile said. We are back in the home theater and they put her in chains. I turn around and cover my face as I exhale in disappointment.

"That will be temporary for now. We have to put her in a cage. She might get out of these in minutes." Stan said.

"How's the diagnostics?" I ask while wiping my tears. "Davidson will update us." Saf said. "You better get some rest in the guest room."

"I'm staying here." I said as I lay in one of the home theater sofa bed chairs. Saf sighs. "I'll just get some pillows and blankets."

"I'll get the breakfast." Stan said and followed.

The chair i'm laying is on the right side, y/n is on the left side, asleep on a mattress. It was decided that only Stan, Saf and Nile, in case she becomes aggressive are allowed to be near her.

Worst decision but I have to agree with it.

I lean into my left side, at least before I close my eyes, she will be the last thing I will see.

Saf is right, there are uncertainties, and I can see it now. And now i'm afraid just like them.

What if I wake up tomorrow and she's not there?

What if she doesn't come back to her usual self because of the mutations?

What will I say to everyone who cares for her?
