When I came home that morning, the sun was already up. If anyone saw me walking through the woods, they would probably think I was coming back from my morning run, while the truth was I hadn't gone to sleep yet.

I couldn't stop grinning when I thought about what we did just a few hours ago. It was much better than I had ever imagined, and it was mostly because of Adam, who had made it so special for me. He was just so gentle and thoughtful all the way through, and I was really thankful for that. I felt that somehow I loved him even more now, if that was even possible.

After I had just gotten home from our meeting, I was already wondering when will be our next time together and what it will be like. I took a long hot shower, and I fell into bed, trying to catch at least a few hours of sleep before Adam and his family came over for our fathers' meeting.I woke up at nine, jumped up, and quickly got dressed. I put on a blue flower print dress that reached just above my knees. It was dressier than what I usually wore, which was good for meeting Adam's parents, but I also knew it would tease him as it would ride up my thighs when I sit down.

I applied some light eye shadow and mascara, then I combed my light brown hair and let them fall freely around my shoulders. I always thought the natural look worked best on me.

When I came downstairs, my parents were already out of the house, probably making preparations for that day. I had my coffee with avocado toast and some fruits when my mom called me to get ready outside for our guests' arrival.

When I arrived, everyone was already gathered in front of our house. All of my dad's most important men were standing next to and behind him, according to their rankings. I came standing next to my mom and dad, both of them giving me some weird looks. I looked at them with lifted eyebrows, expecting them to explain, but it was already too late for that as two black SUV cars were already visible from where we were standing.

They stopped right in front of us. The first one to step out was Alpha Christian, Adam's father, then his mother, who looked happy and excited to be here. I also noticed she looked kind of young, especially compared to my mom, who already had a hint of wrinkles forming around her eyes. They turned straight to my parents and greeted them first.

Next was Adam, who jumped out of the car, winked at me and went to my parents first to introduce himself. I noticed my parents were scowling at him, but I guess that was still because of the marking last week. He stopped just next to me, hugged me, and kissed my cheek in his usual casual manner.

He was wearing chinos with a collared shirt and had sunglasses stuck in his hair for later use as it was a sunny day. He looked nice and smelled nice, and I just had to smile at him. "Hey, pretty, how are you today? Did you sleep well?" he asked, grinning as he knew the answer to that all too well. I felt a heat going through my body as I remembered last night again. "Not very well, actually. I had a very vivid dream," I said, trying to play along.

When my dad saw Adam and me talking, he suddenly looked mad beyond belief. "You son of a ..." he began to say, but my mom tugged his arm roughly as to remind him he shouldn't talk like that in front of our guests, especially as Adam's mother was right there.

When Adam's father caught on how angry my dad looked, he quickly stood in front of him, blocking his view of Adam and me, and said: "Come, Thomas. Let's get this meeting started. It will be a long day." He saved the whole situation and got my dad going after some more persuasion towards the pack-building where the offices were.

I wondered what had gotten him so mad. Maybe Adam was supposed to stand next to his parents instead of coming to me, or maybe his sunglasses were just a bit too casual.

I shrug it off and now concentrated on greeting Adam's mother. She was already making her way towards us and giving us the "awwww" look. "Hi, you must be Julianna. I'm Brigitte, Adam's mom. Please call me Brigitte," she said with a huge smile on her face. Her hair was dark brown, just like Adam's, and her eyes were the same chocolate brown color as Adam's as well. They really looked much alike, and even her happy attitude reminded me of Adam.
