I woke up to Julie walking around the room, "what time is it?" I said in a groggy tired voice. "6" she says walking over to her dresser and grabbing her clothes for the day. "6 are you serious? How are you awake? I questioned "We have to eat and breakfast is at 7." " I don't eat breakfast" "why" she replied with a confused look on her face, "It's too early to eat" I say as I pull my quilt over my face, "K it's not my fault if you're hungry later" She said in a playful voice, "Well it's not like we have school this week." "True, see you later." She said as she walked out of the room. "Great, now I won't be able to fall asleep again." I said to myself as I climbed out of bed.

I walked over to my dresser, pulling out what I wanted to wear for the day, I slipped them on and walked out of the room and towards the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and hair and made my way to the kitchen grabbing the same jug of water from the night before from the fridge and pouring myself a glass of water.

I heard heavy steps coming down the hallway, and Dwayne popped out into the doorway saying "Mornin Carmen" in a bright and cheery voice. "Morning" I replied half asleep. "Tired?" he questioned with a chuckle "Yeah." I replied with a light smile, "Me and my friends are going to the pool if you wanna join" he said as he pulled off his hat."Yeah that would be nice, what time?" I replied with a smile "Around noon maybe?" "Yeah i'll be there" I said with a smile as I watched him push his hat back onto his head and walk out and towards the common room.

A few hours went by and I had been just relaxing, I realized I should get my stuff together for the pool so I packed all my stuff up in a bag and went to the common room everyone was there and were watching a show I turned back and went to the kitchen and searched the fridge, I ended up taking a apple and walked over to everyone else sitting on the couch. As I sat down I realized they were watching one of my favorite shows. I smiled as I remembered when I would watch it with my brothers.

After a while the show was over and everyone started to get ready to leave, Dwayne walked up to me and said "we are leaving in about 5-10 minutes giver take if you still want to come." "Yeah i'll just grab my bag i'll be back in a second." I replied as I quickly walked to my room and grabbed my bag. When I got back everyone was walking out the door, I slipped my shoes on and locked the door behind me with my key.

We walked to the bus stop and I laid down in the grass. After a few minutes went by and the bus pulled up, I jumped to my feet and followed everyone onto the bus. I walked to the back of the bus as I saw Dwayne waving to me to sit beside him. I slid into the chair connected to his, and I placed my backpack on the ground by my feet. I looked at him and looked out the window and watched the cars and people pass as the bus pulled away.

Every few minutes I could see Dwayne look back from the window to my face trying to figure out what I was so fascinated with that was outside the moving bus. As I sat and watched out the window I could hear all the people on the bus I had left my headphones at my room so they wouldn't get wet, but I started to get annoyed having to listen to everyone's conversation.

After a while I heard one of the boys that came with us tell the driver that the next stop was ours. The bus pulled into the stop as we all poured out of the bus. We had been let out right in front of the pool, we walked to the entrance and signed in and went to the dressing rooms, when me and Julie got in the women's locker room a girl ran over to Julie and they started talking, I just shrugged it off not paying much attention to it.

I went into one of the curtained change rooms and slipped my swimsuit on. I tried to not focus on the marks on my shoulders and covered them with the thick straps of the suit. I came out and Julie and the other girl walked over to me. "This is Connie, she will be going to our school with us. She just already lives here!" Julie said excitedly with a smile, "Nice to meet you." I said with a light smile, "Nice to meet you. Hopefully we can all be good friends." Connie said with a bright smile. I grew up with 5 brothers in the country so I never really hung out with girls so I was nervous but I was also excited to finally have friends that were girls.

We all headed outside to the pool and I jumped in cannonball style splashing both of them, they jumped in and I looked around for the boys but couldn't see any of them, after a few minutes a crowd of boys walked out of the men's locker room, me and Dwayne made eye contact as they all walked over. I was a bit confused because the group doubled in size from everyone we came with, Julie saw I was a bit confused and said "We are all on the same hockey team and we all were let into the school but some of us just didn't live here" I gave her the most confused look as under my breath I said "Hockey?" "What did you say?" Connie said as she swam up to us. "Oh nothing it doesn't matter." I replied.

I tried to drop it but I was so confused. Why was I in the hockey dorm? I love hockey hockey maybe even more then baseball but I was told I was joining the baseball team. As the hours went by I could feel myself getting distracted and thinking about sports. It explains why Luis was so confused when I put the baseball game on.
