LORE
Alec enters the library in a hurry as he spotted Florens, Hermes, and I rifling through old books and records.
"I found him." He announced.
"Who? The arsonist?" Florens asked as she folded her arms.
"No, the man who wrote the note. A vampire named Maurice Goldman."
"Who's that?" Hermes asks.
"Some high class drug lord that started dealing recently at the new nightclub in London. One of Tarrin's agents found out this morning."
Florens stood up, then made a show of dusting off non-existent dirt on her dress as she said, "Well, I guess my work here is done. Go ahead and kill the guy, Lore."
"It isn't that easy," Alec cuts in. "He has runes. You'd have to subdue him in some way before you could even touch the guy, let his guard down."
Hermes stood up and stretched. "Fine, I'll do it. You know how irresistible I am to both mortals and immortals alike."
"He'd be better off with Florens, I'm afraid. He's not exactly the type of man to find you attractive, Hermes."
"Might as well punch me in the face, Ealdread." Hermes countered.
I sighed, "I'll do it. His runes may defend me from harming him, but his mind stands unguarded. Ask Tarrin to book a meeting with him, tell him I want to buy."
"What if he doesn't talk?" Florens asked.
"He will. If he doesn't, he'd be spending the rest of his life in Tartarus."

"Lord Hades! It is a pleasure to meet you for the first time." Maurice greeted as he extended his hand to me.
I looked at it with disgust, taking the seat across him instead.
Maurice sat as well as he smiled at me, "I was surprised when I heard you wanted to buy from me. The Underworld getting a bit boring?"
"Where is it?" I quietly demanded.
"Apologies, Lord Hades. My other buyer will be arriving shortly, and I like to do my meetings when everyone else is present."
I stared at him. His ability to disrespect a god, let alone a god that could sign his death sentence, angered me.
The thought of me being able to torture him when we get to Tartarus later calmed me as we waited for his other buyer.
I silently thanked the unknown buyer as he looked up all of a sudden, a smile creeping through his face.
"Ah, there she is. Miss Wickham, Arnold told me you'd be here. Please take a seat."
"Across you or beside you?"
I nearly looked up at the sound of her voice. What was she doing here?
"Well, we could make some sort of arrangement for the latter." Maurice replied.
"Sure. But, I'll settle for the first for now."
