so it was a suicide....right?

that was what seungmin has been thinking for his whole life. but after meeting jeongin? the missing puzzle piece was fit in place. 

seungmin never thought his hyung would commit suicide, hyung was always passionate about his life and his studies and work. he had no sort of grudge against anyone so why? 

jeongin was the missing piece, the one part of the puzzle that seungmin was never able to find. 

it started a year before songwon committed suicide. 

it was a midnight at 'afterschool studies' a 24 hour study cafe that was open to students, it was 4am on a wednesday. the cafe was empty because students were still trying to catch up on the sleep, but songwon was there because for some reason he just couldnt fall asleep.

3 hours into the study session, songwon was starting to get a little restless. he walked to the pantry table at the side to grab some finger food and stretch his sore muscles a little. just then, he heard the door to the cafe open, songwon's head turned to the door, curious to who would be there at this weird timing.

his fluffy hair bounced with every step he took, and his face was half covered by a black mask that sat right under his eyes. his eyes were shaped so elegantly, the way his fringe got in his eyes so he had to scrunch his nose and blink a little before the strands of go out of his eyes. 

he quietly entered and sat down at a table infront of songwon's table, right by the window where they could catch a glimpse of the sunrise. the boy started unpacking his books and pulled out a cute dinosaur pencil case that had tiny dinosaur plushies, such a cutie songwon thought to himself. 

songwon got back to his seat right behind this boy and continued doing his work, they both started doing their own work again. around 7am the boy fell asleep, for some reason songwon even found the back view of this sleeping boy cute.

it was 8am but the boy was still sleeping, songwon had to leave for his morning class soon and he didnt want this boy to be late for his classes. its not really my business though? songwon thought, he packed up his books and kept them back into his book bag. walking out of the cafe, his eyes caught the advertisement for the new series macdonald happy meal, it was dinosaur themed. 

walking back to the cafe, he placed the happy meal on table and lightly shook the boy's shoulder. seeing that they boy started to wake up, songwon quickened his steps and left the cafe once again. 

soon after the boy woke up and he saw a happy meal beside him. wasnt the best thing for breakfast but there was a cute dinosaur toy. cute.

that boy? our little jeongin.
