Alanna's POV:

I had been waiting for my advanced copy of the new Vogue spread for what felt like forever. After I called Candice back she told me that i need to come down to the studio right away. To be honest i was a nervous wreck, i have never ever done a photo shoot for anything and now i was going to be on the cover of vogue with an entire article written about me. It was freaking me out.

"Calm down, it's just a magazine cover" Michael said as he fidgeted with an apple sitting on the counter of my kitchen. He and Hannah had both come over for moral support... well more like Hannah was freaking out just as much as I was and Mike just wanted to be with her.

Hannah shot him a shocked glare "are you kidding?! it's vogue magazine and my best friend Alanna Woods is going to be on the cover, oh my gosh this is going to open up so many doors for you!! -" she was probably going to continue a squealing party but someone knocked on the door and we both seemed to have frozen in place.

Michael sighed "I'll get it" he said hoping off the bar stool he was sitting on and making his way to the door were i could barely see a tall man in a grey uniform hand him an envelope. "It's from Vogue Studios" He said handing the package to me. I nodded and took it from him and with a nervous smile i opened it revealing a large magazine with a girl on the front.

She was wearing a long silk red dress that exposed pretty much all of her back, she had curly dark hair and equally dark eyes, but for some reason they made her look mysterious and sexy. I couldn't stop staring at the girl on the book, I was in shock and I couldn't believe that this girl was me.

"holy shit Alanna you look utterly amazing!!" Hannah yelled taking the magazine from me. "wait lets read the article!" she said flipping to whatever page it was on and started reading.

I came from a completely normal life, nothing out of the ordinary or spectacular in my life but the funny thing is that it all somewhat changed when my best friend, Hannah, needed a ride to the airport to try and meet her favorite band; that was when I met Luke Hemmings and all of his friends I didn't expect anything to come from it until I started getting texts from unknown numbers and once I found out what was going on i was kind of in shock. I already know people want to hear what happened with me and Luke and well people just fall apart, we go in different directions and sometimes it's hard to turn back around once you're so far ahead on the road you're on. Of course I will always love him and hold a special place for him in my heart but sometimes you have to let go of people who aren't meant to be there anymore.

"Lanna' this is great" Mikey said reading over it one more time. I had to  agree and not in a selfish kind of way but it was great and it made me feel great that was until my phone started buzzing in my phone pocket.

I pulled it out and it seemed it was just text after text after text, Hannah suggested that my number leaked except all the messages said the same thing 'look at this'  over and over again and attached was a picture of Luke and that barista girl at the movies. All of my happiness i had achieved in the last day or so was completely gone.

"Hey it'll be okay-" I didn't feel like talking about this, instead I just smiled lightly and said I had to run some errands in a few as i walked them to the door. I sunk down in the couch staring at Luke's contact number debating or not I should call him, with a sigh i pushed away my pride and pressed the call button.

It seemed to have only rung for a second before someone answered but it wasn't Luke, it was a girl "Hello?" She said in an excited happy voice.

I couldn't seem to find my voice for a second "um... is Luke there?" I asked quietly.

There was a rustling sound as the phone was passed to someone else "Hello?" This time it was the familiar husky voice filled with an australian accent that gave me butterflies.

"Luke?" I said quietly.

There was a pause and then the sound of a distant door shutting in the background "Alanna?" he said and I couldn't tell if there was nervousness or excitement in his voice.

I was quiet for a second "Hi..." I said walking to my bedroom.

"Hey" he said and i realized i was wrong, it was nervousness mixed with sadness.

Suddenly I realized how badly I wanted him here with me, not because I was jealous of him and that girl but because I really did need him "um... are you busy?"

"It depends, what can I do for you?" He asked softly.

"do you think you could come by my place?" I asked getting nervous all of a sudden.

It seemed like it was only 10 minutes before he got to my apartment but once there was a soft knock on the door i pushed my nervousness away and went to answer. There was a really tall blond boy standing in the doorway wearing his usual black skinny jeans, nirvana band t-shirt and a beanie. He smiled once he saw me but his smile quickly faded once he saw my expression.

"whats wrong?" he said stepping inside and closing the door behind me, I didn't notice I was still in pajamas until I saw him look me over and hide his smirk, I was wearing spandex and one of his t-shirts. I had actually completely forgotten that it was his t-shirt until he was standing right in front of me.

I didn't know how to answer but it somehow spilled out once he looked me in the eyes "I need you..." his eyes seemed to have sparked to life at my words but it didn't stop me from saying everything in my head "I don't want you with that girl, and I know that sounds bad but I just can't stand it, I need you and I don't know how much longer I can go on like this. I know we said we would never work but... I just need you" Somehow i found my way into his arms with my face buried in his chest.

"Hey" He said holding me close as I fought to hold back the tears that stung in m eyes "I'm yours" I never knew two words could make someone feel so secure and safe but they did. I love this boy and I know I can't go on without him, yet there was still that piece of me that didn't feel the trust that it used to and i knew somehow he sensed it.

He didn't say anything but it was okay, he didn't need to, so instead we found our way back to my room.
