Our 5 seconds of summer // l.h

Chapter 11

Alanna's POV:

It felt like the boys had been gone for weeks making everything more painfully long and irritating. I watched them on the tv whenever they had interviews and live shows and stuff like that but there hasn't been a concert yet. Ashton told me he would fly me out whenever there was on in a resonable distance, I usually talk to him on a dily basis now, weather it's texting, over the phone or facetiming. Luke on the other hand talks to me but seems more distant then usual, we talk almost as much as we used to but instead of our conversations lasting for what felt like hours, I'll have to call him and about 5 minutes later he says he has to go or when we're texting he seems to barely even try to have a conversation. I had asked Ash about it and he said he wasn't sure that Luke has been a little different lately but it's probably because he just misses me.

They had all been gone about a week or two and I was already bored out of my mind, I had tried to talk to Hannah but she's still kinda cold towards me, all of the other people I would hang out with are all on vacation for the summer.

"ur so lame" I read Ashton's message and laughed to myself lightly.

"Blame it on mikey he's the one who told me to do it"  I had told Ashton about how Micheal had convinced me to try out some DS game that i have never played before so he found that hilarious.

I set my phone down after that and removed my pajamas so I could step into my bathtub filled with bubbles and lavendar scented soap.The second I sat down and began to relax I heard my phone ring. I reached over to pick it up and Ashton was trying to facetime me. I sighed before accepting it, his picture showed up on my screen and it looked like he was just in the sitting area not to mention the noise that was around him, it sounded like a tv and a radio turned on at the same time, then you could hear Micheal and Calum argueing in the background not to mention there was a guiatar playing.

"What?" I said not trying to make it sound to sharp.

He smiled at me and I noticed you could see all the bubbles that were covering me on my screen "i'm bored"

I rolled my eyes "well i'm in the bath" I said trying to sound annoyed but failed when a small giggle escaped my lips

"I can tell" He said with a smirk playing at his lips. There was a loud bang on his end of the phone witch made him jump a little and then I heard Calum yell before another sound echoed witch it all sounded as if someone shot Call with a beebee gun or a nerf gun. Before I could ask what happened a cute blond boy appeared next to Ashton, his hair was all messed up and sweaty as if he just had sex or something and he was out of breath.

"I think Calum may have a bruise on his butt now" He said with a childish laugh and stopped once he saw me on the screen.

" uh hey" He said with a small frown.

" Hello stranger" I said teasingly alothough I kinda have meant it since he had been barely talking to me and i'm guessing he understood it because his eyes seemed to have grown sader in the last 2 seconds.

"Are you in the bath?" He asked looking at me and then over at Ashton and then back at me.

I nodded "Actually I am" I said with a smile. Now the saddness was all gone from his eyes and a shadow passed over his face, he nodded once at me response before getting up and walking away. Ash and I both sat there a little confused at his sudden angry ness "Hey i'll call you back later" I told him before hanging up and dialing Luke's number, he answered on what seemed to have been the 7th ring.

"yeah?" His voice sounded distant and a little rugged.

"Luke whats wrong?" I stepped out of the bath tub and pulled the plug before wrapping my a rob around me.

"What do you mean I'm perfectly fine" He said and there was a small click witch I guess was a door shutting.

"No you're not, you just got up and left like that and you've been acting similar to this for a while now"

"So i'm guessing this isn't just about 5 minutes ago?"

I let out a sigh "No it's not, you've been different latelly, brushing me off and hardly ever answering my calls and if it's the rare occasion when you actually answer a text you brush it off with one word"

"Well you know Alanna I'm very busy and I don't have time for your constant wanting to talk and clingy-ness" There was a sharpness to his words that kinda made the wound he just inflicted even worse.

I waited a moment unsure of what to say to that but before I could answer his voice sounded again only this time he sounded tired as if he had been up all night and all day "Look why don't you go talk to Ashton about all your problems like you usually do when somethings wrong, i'm sure you'd rather be with him"

My mouth fell open "Is that what this is about?" I asked not really holding back my asontished tone 

"Well kinda" He sounded as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Luke I don't like him like that. I like you no wait I love you" I paused for a moment at the sound of his breath being drawn in "And you know what i'm a little offended that you would think that -"

"You were facetiming him in the bath!" He inturrupted me raising his voice with almost every word.

"i'm sorry it's not my fault he called me at that exact time"

"You know why don't you just date him instead" 

I couldn't help it, he was making me so angry that the words just fumbled out of my mouth "believe me it has crossed my mind many times" The minute I said it I regretted it. There was nothing but silence on the other end of the phone before his voice sounded again, only instead of anger and tiredness he sounded uttelry hurt as if I had just stabbed him witch I probably just did.

"I gotta go" He said quietly not letting me appologize or anything before the phone wen't dead and I sat on the toilet in my bathroom regretting everything terribly and probably just lost the best person ever.
