Levi took his jacket from backstage and went straight to the bar to grab one of the beers that sat sweating on the counter. The crowd had thinned out, leaving only regulars straggling around. His head still felt like it was spinning, but his body felt flushed of all tension and anxiety. He watched green eyes...Eren...get collected by his friends and pushed toward the exit.
Eren looked back over his shoulder a couple of times, scanning the crowd. Levi knew he was looking for him. He thought to step back behind the bar, but before he could, Eren's eyes found him and locked on. His mouth quirked up into a soft smile and he waved, his fingers bending lazily towards him. Levi's stomach fluttered and his body moved to respond, but he squelched it and turned away, his heart pounding.
"Well, that doesn't happen very often."
Levi took a long drink from his beer, closing his eyes. Maybe when he opened them, they'd be gone.
Instead he heard the stool next to him stutter across the floor. "How are you holding up? I know it's a rough day."
He opened his eyes to the rows of beer glasses, polished and hanging over the bar. He didn't have the energy it would take to kick their stool as hard as they deserved.
"Fuck off, Shitty," he murmured without conviction. He glanced at his friend.
The drummer had a white bandana wrapped snugly around their head to catch the buckets of sweat that always poured off of the them when they played. Their eyes sparkled a rich chocolate brown that always seemed to look straight through him.
"Did it help?"
Levi huffed with exaggeration and slammed the bottle down on the bar.
"Hey!" They both jumped when a petite, fierce blonde popped up from behind the bar and slapped her palm on the counter. "Watch the fucking wood, Ackerman."
He frowned and looked at her for a moment. "Sorry, Nan." He glanced slowly back to Hange.
They smiled and let their eyes move over his face. He felt naked, split open. And it was all he could do not to run out into the rain and keep going until he couldn't feel anything else but the burning of his muscles. Instead he took the last swig and gently placed the bottle down. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Nanaba wink at him.
"Well?"
Wiping his eye with the heel of his palm, he turned his full body towards them. "Well what?"
"Did that beautiful boy help your soul at all?" They moved the fringe of his bangs back with long slender fingers. "He seemed so sweet."
Levi sniffed and looked at his boots. "Nah." He took his jacket off of the back of the stool and slid one arm through. "Just made me want..." He pulled the other through and looked towards the door. "...more."
Hange frowned. "Want me to take you home, honey?"
He nodded. "No more questions though, okay?"
They smiled. "Let me get my stuff and tell Moblit, or he'll be worried."
Levi put an unlit cigarette between his lips and made his way to the backdoor to wait. The rain had stopped, but the heat hovered, sticky and moist. The strong smell of Gulf water was heavy and thick. He glanced to the spot where he'd been with the boy.
For all of seven minutes, he'd felt important to someone. Eren made him feel like he was worshipped...holy. On his knees in front of him, praying with his mouth on him, his palms rubbing up and down Levi's thighs, praise falling from his slicked lips in moans and appreciative murmurs. Like the boy was born only to bring him pleasure. And yes, it was fucking hot, but it felt so sweet too. Really unlike anything he'd ever experienced before.
