I have fallen down the Levi and Hange worm hole. I kept trying to cut into it, but it won't let me go. There is still another chapter and then I'm done with them. I hope this is a positive thing and that you won't turn away from Eren and Levi. You'll see them again very soon. Thank you for all of your patience and support. You mean the world to me. <3 Mags

Hange turned her head towards the sound. Darkness lay across her eyes, but she felt safe with the cool strands of The Pretenders falling from a guitar. Ah, yes. Levi. The notes seeped into the caverns of her head, lighting up like a pinball machine with each breath. Her fingers twitched to the beat of a soft drum in her pulse. Her throat felt like sand. She tried to speak, but a flurry of movement next to her made her freeze.

"Hange?"

She tried to open her eyes, but they were snuggly wrapped against her head. Her hand fluttered up to touch them, but cold fingers wrapped around them.

"Short Stack?" she whispered.

A deep inhale. "Jesus," muttered her friend. "You are so fucking lucky I haven't smothered you with a pillow."

Hange hummed, her smile wide. "Where are we?"

A pause. "My dorm."

The girl choked a little. "They're gonna think we're fucking."

Silence.

"I'm glad you didn't take me to the hospital."

Levi leaned down close to her face and whispered, "Tell me what happened, glasses."

Whimpering, she turned her face away.

"Okay, okay." He squeezed her shoulder.

"How did you get me here?"

Levi eased her head onto his lap and unraveled the bandage covering her eyes. They sat without speaking. Hange groaned quietly, as he used a warm cloth to wipe out the dried blood that had settled around her eye sockets. She reveled in his gentle touch and his mint breath falling warm across her face.

"You've been out for a couple of days," he mumbled.

"Hmm," she said. "I wonder who they're going to get to run the lab."

When she opened her eyes she saw his pale skin, paler and the bags of his eyes, deeper. "Oh, Levi." Her eyes grew wide. She glanced around the small room and saw an IV bag hanging and attached to her arm. His books sat stacked on his table. She looked back to him with a sad frown. "You missed your lab?" Her eyes teared up.

He looked at her steadily and shook his head.

"Does this mean..." She put her hand out. "Are you failing your class because of me?"

"Hange, I finished my mandatory labs a month ago."

"What?"

"My last lab was four Wednesdays ago."

Her mouth tightened into a smirk. "Four weeks ago?"

Levi growled. "I swear to god, if you ever bring this up or tell anyone, I will break ALL of your ribs without shame."

Hange tried to laugh, but immediately cried out. "Oh my god that hurts so much."

"Well, that's what you get for gloating."

"That's so mean! Why can't you just admit you liked hanging out with me...for four extra weeks."

Gritting his teeth, he rolled his eyes. "It's cause I felt sorry for you."
