Promise

"Kaizer!" Levon's voice startled me.

At nang bitiwan ko ang mahigpit na pagkakahawak ko sa magkabilang braso ni Enzo ay napatingin ako sa kanilang gawi.

My eyes widened when I saw Levon and Renz walking towards our way now. What are they doing in here? They should not see us. No one should know about us again but why the heck is this happening right now!?

"Let's go," Kaizer voice crept on me nang mabilis niyang hinuli ang aking palapulsuhan.

Mabilis kaming naglakad palabas at hindi na ako lumingon pa pabalik. Levon and Renz were also here, hindi nila kasama si Mark. Enzo and Nics, they know what is the string attached between me and Kaizer now and I can't stomach how shocked Enzo was earlier.

Gusto naming itago ni Kaizer ang kung anong mayroon sa amin ngayon. But then fate seems to oppose the chances we are risking into. The uncertainty of happenings in our way right now became more congested. It's like a timer that is set on a specific date and we can't turn it back.

Mabuti nalang at nakalabas kaming kaagad at hindi naman na kami sinundan pa nila.

I licked my lips as I felt my face viscid in tears I cried earlier. Hinarap ko si Kaizer sa driver seat nang pareho na kaming makapasok sa sasakyan niya. His weary eyes bore on me as my eyes dropped on the side of his lips.

Agad kong hinanap ang emergency kit at nang makita ko iyon sa baba sa tapat lang ng aking upuan sa ilalim ay kinuha ko iyon. I cleaned his bruise at the side of his lips. He was just silent as I do it very gently.

Hindi ko siya tinitingnan sa mga mata pero ramdam ko na nasa akin nakatutok ang seryoso at madilim niyang mga titig. Bahagya pa akong lumayo sa kaniya nang maramdaman kong gumalaw ang isa niyang kamay, senyales na hahawakan ako.

"Kaizer, let's go home." Pag-iwas ko at saka niligpit na ang kit at binalik sa dati.

Tinignan ko na siya sa mga mata sa pagkakataong ito. I pursed my lips as my eyes bore on him in weary. But then, his hand reaches my cheeks once again. He caressed me softly like he's wiping away the dried tear I was done giving earlier.

"I'm sorry Kaizer-"

"Hush, I don't want to hear you sorry. It's not your fault-"

"But Kaizer you always get bruises because of me. I can't even stop them hurting you, from hurting us. Paano tayo lalaban kung palagi nalang ganito? Kung palagi nalang akong ganito? I'm tired of seeing you hurt baby. And I can't take seeing you get hurt again." I muttered to him seriously.

Hinawakan ko ng mahigpit ang kamay niyang humahaplos sa aking pisngi. Ang kaniyang mga mata ay kumukinang sa pangamba at hindi mapangalanang galit.

"Just hold on me Neil, we can surpass it. If you can't take seeing me hurt then I promised you that I won't let them again. I won't let them hurt you by seeing me harm Mi Arcus."

His words were comforting me somehow. Even I know that in spite of what just happened there is still a doubt and fear of what if Kelsy might know about this? Enzo said that my cousins had to know about it and that is creeping me out.

Naghiwalay kami ni Kaizer ng sasakyan at kalaunan ay magkahiwalay kaming umuwi. He wanted to stalk my car until I got home but I opt him to not too especially that Zandra is in our house earlier and I am not sure if they are still there.

I feel bothered by Levon and Renz as well. I know that like Zandra they were also the ones who knew our dirty secret and they intend to keep it with us as well. Pero sa pagkakataong ito ay naiba. Ayaw kong maglihim man sa kanila ay 'yon ang sa tingin naming makakatulong sa aming dalawa ni Kaizer.
