Rowan was a kid and he died later. He went to Spring Valley Academy and he and his friends did a few more things, but one left and the other two started dating so now Rowan Aboat is sailing his ship alone.

"Rowan." The saggy teacher called as he walked into her class, "Thirty minutes late, a pb poggers."
She was ahead of her time. Rowan slumped at the back of the class and learned nothing.

The clocks hadn't been acting up for a while. After his break down and acceptance Rowan figured they stopped bothering him. He made an effort not to look at them, never admitting to himself why.

That lesson Rowan got partnered with someone for a speaking thing.
"Hey." Rowan said like he couldn't wait to leave.
"Umm, yea so der Frau ist meine... Schwester?"

The bell went and Rowan left quickly. He kept his head down as he made his way to the back of the school.

"Hey." A voice called out.
"What?" Rowan looked around (that's a reference). There was a boy sitting on top of the music building.
"You're Aboat right?" The boy said.
"What? Why are people so polite? You're the fourth person to talk to me. Out of nowhere."
"Sorry you got somewhere to be?" The boy asked.
"Whatever." Rowan said, "Haven't you got a class to get on top of?"
The boy laughed a little and Rowan felt proud even though it wasn't that good of a joke, sorry. Then he left the academy at second lesson.

He got exclusion for dodging the next day because teachers hated him but no teachers were there so tell me how that works? It was only him and a girl in the room, he could only see a ponytail, but it was a ponytail he recognised. He leaned back past the divider and looked over to the girl.
"Hey, you're the one who ruined the ball?" He asked. She popped her head up and leaned back to see Rowan.
"Yea..." Said the girl.
"That was cool. Made me wanna go."
"Yea, now I got months exclusion." She said, "And we got it separate so we don't ruin it as well." She said looking back to her book.
"...we're aloud to leave y'know, everyone just leaves."
"I'd rather not." She said, still reading.
"I leave all the time, not all the time, but I used to when... um..."
"Yes, I know who you are Jafar." She said and Rowan got embarrassed.
"You didn't wanna do it again?" She added.
"Nah," He sighed, "got... boring. Like right now."
So he left.

His home wasn't much better. His mothers boyfriend (Paul the Plumber) moved in a little after his father left, and his oldest brother moved out a month later.
They'd hardly see each other, Rowan and his second brother (the middle child) would stay shut inside their bedrooms.

Rowan laid on his floor until it got dark and he couldn't see the sky, why would he want to after all.
His room was the attic room of the house, and while he liked it when he was younger because the window faced the sunrise and it would wake him early, he disliked it now for the same reason.

He watched the further side of Spring Valley from his window until his eyes grew too heavy and he went to bed.
