What he told Piper on the trains, Rowan repeated to Field when they got back. The two went over to his hut.
"It's not what I imagined." Rowan said, "Ever since you told us, I wanted what you had. Living in boats, fishing for lobsters, all them riots and marches your life was amazing!"
"Even I heard a lot." Piper said.
"That's called being poor." Field smiled, "It wasn't so bad. But that's been done now. Don't wanna do it again. And if you do, it's letting go of that."
"Yea, I thought, it doesn't exist, that... reality, it's not real. So there's nothing to hold on to." Rowan said.
Field had the proudest grin.
"It'll all work out." He nodded.

Rowan and Piper ended up staying for tea they spoke so much.
"Do you have trouble breathing? With your scar?" Field asked.
"A bit." Rowan shrugged, "Like all the way in, properly."
"Try this." Field shuffled in front of his son.
He got Rowan to put his knuckles together, then touch his thumbs, his ring fingers and pinky fingers to each other.
He found he could breath easier, in all the way, properly.
"How's that work?" He laughed.
"It just does."

Next Rowan went to see Wolf, and Piper said she'd wait in Rowan room.
The two stood in front of the academy, which just looked abandoned.
"It was tornado." Wolf told, "Ms Gale turned into a tornado. That sounds so stupid, but it's not. Well it is, but it's true."
"If you missed it would you believe it?" Rowan asked.
"Well there was the last one as well so, I guess. But everyone saw this, it happened."
"So no one questions it." He sighed, "Look... I didn't try to lead you on."
"You didn't try?"
"I don't want to now. I guess I thought, if I didn't try and get you to like me, it wasn't my fault if you did."
"I don't." She said quickly.
"That was easy." He joked, but Wolf didn't care, "Sorry." He sighed, "I was stupid, I should've told you... I don't like you like that. You just have really bad taste." He added, but she didn't even smirk, "I'm sorry. It's... weird, and cringe, but I have to tell you otherwise it's gonna ruin everything."
"Ruin?"
He sighed, "When me, Piper and Michael were mates, we were like Ire, Tom and you. Then Micheal started going out with Kate and we fell apart."
"...sounds like he got out of third-wheeling."
"What we're doing is more important than how we feel." He said, "I should tell Ire and Tom, and Leon."
"They're here."
"Valley?"
"Yea."

Bratons was the dance group Ire and Tom would practice with. Afterwards they left like normal, only to see Rowan and Wolf outside.

They went down Oldry and Piper joined them to sit on the banks and they caught up a bit.
"I didn't realise I had this new group. You, The Mash, Leon. But I wasn't... there" Rowan started, "Y'know, one christmas Amy got us all a tablet each, and I spent the morning setting it up, the passcode the layout the background. Then I closed it just so I could open it again and see what it would be like, and I thought, 'this is how I'll open it from now on'. Which I guess- point is, every time I opened it I'd think that. 'This is how I'll open it from now on'. Turns out I never opened it how I wanted to, because every time I opened it I'd be thinking that same thing... I guess, I didn't notice until years later. I was wasting the time I was wishing I had. I don't wanna miss SunGlass City like that. I didn't realise you chose to help me, until I thought the world was gonna end. I wanna be in this band now and we can still be in SunGlass City, but I'm gonna find out what the sky is. And I'm gonna find the clocks too. But. This is, insane, and I don't know how big it is. Wolf you asked me what would happen if people in suits came knocking. I'll tell you. Then, we'll know who we're fighting. And it might come to that, where we're on the run, so if you don't wanna be a part of it I get it, we can still be in the band, and hang out, but I'm gonna keep going, and, I'd like us all to be together when the world does end."
"You don't wanna do research do you?" Ire smirked.
"You were better at that." He joked.
Ire wanted to join the boy, but knew Tom would follow.
"We'll be safe about it." Rowan assured her.
"We better be." She said.
"Yea!" Tom cheered.
"Wolf?" The boy asked.
She just thought.
"Wolf?" Ire asked.
"Okay." She looked up to Rowan.
"Okay?" He asked.
"Okay."
"That was a pretty good speech." Piper smiled.
"Yea?"
"It was." Ire said, "That's SunGlass City."
"Now Piper's part of it too." He added.
"Can she be a part of SunGlass City?" Tom asked Wolf.
"Ask Rowan." She said.
"Rowan?"
"Yea! She's one of the guys!" He said, before looking at his friends for a moment and asking, "Am I one of the girls?"
"Totally." Ire laughed.

They watched the sky grow colourful with the sunset and the clouds grow in parallel lines not knowing how much was artificial.

"People always say the world's gonna end." Ire began, "On this day, or- or the another, then it never does. Like prophets or whatever. Two thousand-twelve, Sue told me about two thousand. Now, we're waiting for our own. Like it's gonna happen one day and we'll all go."
"You think it's not gonna come?" Rowan asked.
"What if it has?" She said, "What if the world already ended, it's just taking a while, and we're waisting it waiting for it to start."
