Over the following weeks the suit (Racer, as they would come to call it) began construction as everyone wrote their verse.——————————{∙}——————————

I can feel the wind through the hall.
If I were upside down,
I'd be the right way 'round,
and clouds would be below to catch my fall. ♪Piper liked Spring Valley so much better then Santana Park, it had more charity shops.
Her and Rowan went one day to looks for stuff to build their sky suit. They ended up with a big motorbiking helmet and a cool red leather jacket with the word 'Racing' on its stomach, which is where they got the suits name.
She stayed in SunGlass City and drew plans of the suit, filling the rest of her note book; Rowan would have done the same had he not left his diary in his bag.Piper enjoyed being back. She had only been away seven months, and for the first time in that span, felt at home. Although she now lived under Amys roof and in Sayles old bed, it was nothing to complain about. It was better then being on the run, which was a thought her and Rowan shared.
On clear evenings her and Rowan would climb out his window and watch the sunset from the roof.
"I thought. When clouds do that." She pointed.
Cumulus clouds stretched above them.
"How they're all flat at the same point at the bottom." She said, "What if they're above the top and like, sitting on it? That's the flat bit?"
"We should go, find out." Rowan said, "I need more fuel."——————————{∙}——————————
♪ They say God is always with us,
I think God's ready to go.
I cannot say when,
but I will not wait 'till then,
The world will end before he'll ever show. ♪Wolf would say she only missed school for the punching bag. Her father offered to sign her up to the gym down the road but she didn't know if she should.
For the first time in a many years, she went with her parents to church on Sunday, after weeks of them asking. Not that she believed in a God anymore.
She sat down and Father Randall read,
"Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
It seemed important and she listened, but didn't see its meaning.Wolf stayed after everyone else left and Father Randall went to her.
"Nice of you to join us again."
"I got dragged along." She sighed.
"But not asked to stay behind?"
"...I don't believe in God." She brushed off.
The Father nodded.
"Do you have any questions?" He asked.
"Yea. How can a God that loves everyone go around givin' kids cancer?"
"Well. We must have faith God has a plan for us all. He tests us through actions. And it's how we react that tells Him who we are."
"I'm going." She huffed and left the church.——————————{∙}——————————
♪ Surfing on a wind,
sleeping on our butts.
La la la,
la la la,
la la la deez nuts. ♪Leon lived in Abyfrown, as you know, and between leaving the academy and when Rowan showed up uninvited, they'd not seen anyone other than their mother.
They'd spend days surfing on the empty shores as everyone else surfing would go to Rhosneigr.
As the months grew warmer the waves grew weaker.After Rowan left was when Leon appreciated him inviting them to the band.
Now Rowan had come back they'd hop trains up to Spring Valley a lot to be a part of Hunting A Mushroom Man, and hopefully see more weirdness the others had grown accustomed to.Leon tried on the boots and shot up and back down on their bum. They got to know how to control the jets by moving their feet, it was like surfing, keeping balanced.
Rowan made it look easy, but Leon kept trying, after all they had time before the world ended.This was a better world for them. They preferred it more then hiding away alone, and way more then their old friends they left in the academy.

♪ I used to think you gave me butterflies,
now it feels like I just own a moth.
Living makes a need,
and bird's have to feed,
so the bug's dead and the bird flies off. ♪Ire lived in Falli, half way between Spring Valley and Rhosneigr, so Tom had a perpetual sleepover there since they would hop down to SunGlass City most days. Helping to build Racer and playing with the band.
Ire saw the bird again, watching them all, and once back home she and Tom found the bird was a quail, an american bird. What it was doing in Walse was anyones guess, but Ire knew it was important because the shield she now had.
"Can we play Mario?" Tom asked again.
"Sure." She smiled.
Every since they were younger The Mash would have sleepovers at Ires because she had the Wii, and they would play Mario Bros. late into the night, never getting past the seventh world. This was probably because Tom would fall asleep early and Ire would carry her character through the levels instead of dropping her out. Wolf would get angry that they kept dying and Ire would always say 'at least we got the checkpoint'.
Wolf stopped wanting to play a few years back and Ire soon after, and Tom never cared about the game, she just liked being with her friends.Tom fell asleep against the bed. She was small and light enough for Ire to pick her up and put in bed.
She thought she was so lucky to be living how she was, that school was out, Tom always at hers and SunGlass City finding the truth. But she couldn't help feeling it was too good to be true. She stayed awake for a bit trying to sleep over the awful music coming from her brother room.——————————{∙}——————————
♪ I held too tight to my words,
they wouldn't fit your melody.
I'm letting go,
so when I feel jealousy,
I just find my bear necessities. ♪Rowan stole more fuel from the dodgy shop, Racer was ready to fly. By now he had limbs from tubes and sheets as chest plates and Rowan got dressed into him, he was ready to fly. Piper was with him incase he blew up or anything. He was very unfinished, everything was loose and heavy and untested, but there's a first for everything.
Rowan walked from SunGlass City to the opening and pulled the wire he had built on the leg to start the boots up.
Racer raised from the ground very slowly and using a lot more fuel. He flew higher, five feet maybe, he couldn't read the altimeter yet. It all went wrong when he tried to move. He moved his leg the smallest bit and lost balance, crashing down into a tree. He managed to turn the boots off before tearing it down.
The helmet fell off and the breastplate flipped down to smack his face. He got it out the way and saw Piper from upside down.
"You good?" She laughed.
"Ye man."Later the clouds shaped like they waited for, with flat bottoms. The two got ready and went up again. Holding each other tight as they left Racer and rose above the tree line. The ground flattened like the bottom of the clouds and they saw the sky straighten from actual mountains of Snowdôn. They were still below the clouds as the skys illusion broke and they slowed down.
Piper was right, the top was below the clouds, at least these ones. She raised an arm and placed it on the top. It was heavy. So heavy and floating above them. It was scary. She was terrified. But that wonky smile Rowan loved never left her face.
