SEVENTEEN

Before the police chases, break-ins, and squatting Trinity Von Thorne lived an average life with her Mother, Charlotte Westwood at Figure Eight. They weren't that close...at all, and Trinity didn't go to her Dad's often either. Trinity wasn't home that much, she was close with the Cameron's since she had been dating Rafe for almost seven months.

Trinity would never call herself a 'Kook' but unlike the rest of them, Trinity had a job. She worked as a hostess at the Golf Course. She doesn't do much other than serve drinks, give customers the equipment, stand around in pretty white dresses and get tips from creepy old men just for smiling.

"Happy birthday, babe." Rafe kisses Trinity on the cheek, handing her a bouquet of pink tulips.

"Thank you," She smiles sweetly looking down at the flowers in her hands.

"They're tulips, they're your favorite right?" Rafe asks happily. "I remembered!"

They weren't her favorite but Trinity wasn't going to rain on his parade.

"Yeah, I love them, thank you." She was lying but she did mean it. She was thankful.

Rafe watched her as she got a vase and filled it with water, "Are you going to Matthew's today?"

Trinity hasn't seen her Dad in almost two months, he moved back to The Cut after he and Charlotte split when Trinity was twelve.

"Yeah, I probably should," Trinity answered his question without looking back at him. She gently places the flowers in the vase and admires it, "You know I haven't seen my Dad in a long time."

Rafe wasn't the biggest fan of her going off to the South Side of the island. He took a few steps back, "You have to come to my place after—"

"What about my Mom?"

"What about her?"

"I can't just leave her."

"Sure you can, what's she ever done for you?" Rafe had a point.

Trinity's Mom loved money, she had multiple ways to money too - her favorite; seducing men, and she was incredibly selfish with what she made. The two of them lived right in the middle of Figure Eight in a large and empty house.

"Okay, I'll swing by later." Trinity nods.

Rafe nods too, going in for a final kiss before leaving, "I'll see you later! Love you!"

"Bye," She calls back, watching him leave.

Trinity deeply exhales, preparing herself to go up to talk to Charlotte. She jumps at the sound of her phone ringing and goes to answer it.

"Hey Tyler," She smiles.

Tyler is Trinity's brother. He's twenty and lives in Charleston.

"Happy birthday!"

"Thank you,"

"I mailed you a package, I'm not sure when it will be arriving through - hopefully soon."

"You didn't have to do that,"

"You're my baby sister of course I did, I haven't been there for your birthday for what...two years now."

Trinity smiled at her screen, "I miss you,"

Tyler playfully rolls his eyes. "I'm gonna puke."

She laughs, "Hey listen, I'll call you later tonight or tomorrow before work, I need to go and see Dad and then go to Rafe's."
