THE LIGHTHOUSE

"Okay well this was nice," Trinity smiles at each of them, "I guess I'll see you all around."

She leaves them and heads off to her car.

"Do you feel like maybe we should have asked her to stay with us?" Pope suggests.

Kie, the only one who seemed to have a problem with the idea shakes her head. "No, she's a Kook."

"She's barely a Kook, Kie," JJ says.

"I'm sorry, who is she dating?" She rhetorically asks him.

"Look, I trust her, I consider her a friend, sure we haven't spoken in a while but she's helped me in the past,"

"Exactly, and she did save us just now," Pope adds.

Kie looks to John B, hopeful that he would take her side. "You know what, I agree with JJ—"

"What!?"

"Look Kie, think about it if we have someone from the rich part of the island on our side that could be good for us," John B quickly says, jogging away to Trinity's car.

"Three against one Kie," JJ says with his hands out.

She shakes her head. "I'm calling it now, you're going to regret this."

"Then you can be the one to say 'I told you so'," JJ snakes his arm around Kiara and the three of them go and join John B

§

"Why are we at the lighthouse?" Trinity asks.

She got instructed to stay lookout with Pope and JJ, yet she was kept very out of the loop and had zero ideas as to what John B and Kiara were doing.

"Apparently it was Big John's favourite place," JJ says, without looking at her.

He was annoyed at the fact John B asked him to stay lookout.

"Hey, do you know anything about the Royal Merchant?" JJ steps towards Trinity.

"JJ!"

"What she's already here, may as well see if she knows anything!"

"Only that it sunk with four hundred million in gold. Why is that your treasure hunt?" She asks sarcastically with a laugh and then stops. "You're going on a treasure hunt?"

"Yes, we are," Pope says, clarifying it. "Just out of curiosity are you gonna tell Rafe Cameron you were with a bunch of Pogues for the day?"

"I'm not going back to Figure Eight, I haven't spoken to Rafe since like...the kegger."

"Where are you going instead?" JJ asks.

"I'm staying at my Dad's,"

JJ smiles, "That's why you was backing out your Dad's driveway when you ran me over,"

"I was going to get a smoothie but you guys made my day a whole lot interesting," She grins at them.

The conversation was cut short when the bleep of sirens were approaching fast.

"Quick! Get to the twinkie!" JJ orders.

The three of them scram and jump into the van with JJ driving and Pope in shotgun,

"The door, Trin, close it!" Pope says frantically.

She slid the door shut and sat back in one of the seats. "What about the other two?" She asks.

"You heard John B, meet back and my place," JJ mutters trying to get the van out of there as quick as he can.

JJ pulled up outside his house and the two boys joined Trinity in the back.

"How long are you staying at the Cut for?" JJ asks.

She shrugs, "I don't know yet, I prefer being around my Dad so hopefully I stay for a bit."

"Can I come over soon, I haven't seen your Dad in so long," JJ's lips crack a smile but Pope looks at him funnily, "What?"

"Have you been to Trinity's before?" Pope chuckles.

"As a matter of fact, I have Pope. I stayed for a few days,"

"It was almost a week actually," Trinity laughed, remembering how it went.

"Wait why? Where did you stay?"

"My dad kicked me out and it was that time where neither John B nor you could have me stay - I told you I would have figured it out but I slept on this air mattress-bed-thing, it was really comfy, man,"

"It was all my Dad's idea but he wasn't terrible company."

"See Pope, I told you she wasn't a complete stranger."

Pope laughs letting out a big sigh of relief, "That actually makes me feel a lot less tense."

"See!" Trinity laughs.

Back over at the Cameron's house, Rafe was looking around for either one of his sisters.

"Wheeze?" He calls out, heading up the stairs towards her bedroom. "Wheezie are you in there?"

"Yeah."

Rafe opens the door and sits at the foot of Wheezie's bed, "Have you seen Trinity at all today, or heard anything."

"Yeah, she trimmed my hair."

"Yeah, yeah I know, where did she go afterwards?"

"To work."

Rafe narrows his eyes, "Just work? She didn't say anything else?"

"No Rafe, why are you asking?" She snaps, growing more and more frustrated with her brother.

"Because I haven't spoken to her and she's mad at me and all I want to do is fix it and she's avoiding me!" Rafe shouts walking out of Wheezie's room and slamming the door shut behind him.

Rafe knew a place he could go, it wouldn't take him to Trinity or be an indicator as to where she went but it would certainly help his brain stop going at a hundred miles per hour.

He met up with Kelce and the two headed off to Barry's place which was often filled with other people high off of whatever Barry sold to them.

"Ay, country club!" Barry shouts to Rafe with a wide smirk across his face. "You here for some of this?"

Rafe looks to the clear plastic bag in Barry's hands. Rafe nods and takes it, passing Barry some money too.

"Pleasure doing business with you," Barry laughs.

"Thanks, Barry."
