DOOZY OF A DAY

After driving in what seemed in circles because Trinity found it comforting she got an odd call from Pope and he was freaking out and saying he needed to be picked up from the old pharmacy so that was where Trinity's new destination was.

Once she had arrived Pope sprinted into her car, "Jesus, Pope," She exclaims.

"I found it! The key! I found it!" He cheers holding up a long and old looking key.

"That's what the Limbrey chick was looking for, right?" Trinity asks, unsure.

Pope nods, "Let's get back to the Chateau!"

Trinity chuckled, "Okay," And started her engine and took him back to the Cut.

She parked outside by the porch and the two walked in together, "Kie, what are you doing back?" Pope asks then immediately turns around after seeing she was changing. "Oh, sorry,"

"Kiara, what happened?" Trinity asks, picking up on the vibe.

"My Mom snapped, and I got booted," She buttons up her shirt and sits down on the couch.

"Wait what?!" Pope asks.

"It's not a big deal, I'll stay here for a couple of days, hang out with my friends. We have stuff to figure out," She brushes it off.

"You know, if you need a place to stay you can always come stay with me," Pope kindly offers but Trinity notices how Kiara's eyes drop down and how she quickly changes the subject which is weird because Trinity thought they had a good thing going.

"Anyway, how did everything go with you two?" Kiara asks, assuming they were together all day.

Pope sits down on a chair, "Um, well, Pops was upset,"

"Upset?" Kiara asks sarcastically, "After you left his truck in Charleston? What for?"

Pope goes along with it, "Uh, you know, I'm actually trying to figure that out myself, I can't really see any reason...that would make him upset."

Kiara's face gets painted with a warm smile as she laughs at Pope, "Totally,"

"But! I did ask him about the key!" He points as he speaks, "And he said that his Grandmother had something like that, so I went over there, above the old pharmacy and I found this." He says getting up and pulling out a small case followed by the key.

"Oh my God," Kiara breathed, taking it from his fingertips and inspecting it for herself, "Holy shit Pope!" She exclaimed, realizing what this meant.

"I know, I know, right? I know."

"This is exactly what we need to get the evidence!" Kiara points out.

"I know!"

Trinity lets out a light giggle watching her two friends jump in excitement about the key, and then Pope goes to explain how it was he found it, "I was right in the room, and it...came out the ceiling!"

"Oh my God,"

"Look at it!"

The two inspect it closely. Kiara squints her eyes and traces her thumb over what looked like writing, "Is that writing...what is that?"

"Let me see," Trinity says sitting down on the other side of Kie, and holding Kiara's wrists steady so Trinity could see. "Yeah, but it's too small to read," She quints and moves her head closer to the key.
