ROOMMATE

That night Sarah stayed at Trinity's house. The two of them slept together on the ground floor in the sitting room but Sarah was up bright and early the next morning to go and see John B at the hospital.

Trinity had her car keys in one hand and went out to meet Sarah in the car. 

"Okay, Trinity I need you to hurry up!" 

"I'm going the speed limit!" She yawns,

"Okay but I'm meeting my Dad there I don't want him to just be waiting around,"

Trinity's taken aback, "Why?"

"I'll explain later. How was Midsummers with Rafe?"

Trinity shrugs and takes her lower lip between her teeth, "I mean it wasn't weird or anything until something happened,"

"What happened?"

"You need to promise me you won't tell anyone, not a soul!"

Sarah agrees as expected, "Yeah I won't, my lips are sealed."

Trinity sighs, "Well we were sat together at a table, just us and we were laughing and I was really stoked about how well everything was going, and then he took me to dance and he went in to kiss me--"

"What?!"

"Not done." Trinity counts herself in to confess the big incident, "And then...we had sex in the library,"

"Trinity?!" Sarah gasps.

"I know, I know, I fucked up, I shouldn't have done it," Trinity uses her free hand to rub her face in frustration. "Sarah you seriously can't tell anyone,"

"Trinity, I've kept so many of your secrets can you please relax?" Sarah touches Trin's arm as a comfort, "So you still love - like - love - I don't know, you know what I'm trying to say,"

She thinks to herself but the answer didn't need much thinking, "Well, yeah, it hasn't been long since we split so there's going to still be feelings there I'm just not sure if he's the only one I've got those feelings for,"

Sarah grins widely, "Boy, you've got a lot to tell me!"

Trinity finds a parking space and stops the car, "Later, we're here."

Sarah tells Trinity to up ahead so she can talk with her Dad and after being questioned by the receptionist she's finally taken to John B's room where he is fast asleep in the hospital bed. Trinity sits in one of the seats carefully.

She was soon joined by Ward, Sarah and the Sheriff and a doctor, who was explaining his injuries. "So that's a concussion and a broken wrist, he's also on a lot of pain killers too but he should be coming around soon,"

"He's lucky he didn't land any other way," Sheriff Peterkin points out.

Sarah sits on the bed and holds John B's hand, waiting for him to wake up.

Trinity clears her throat, "Excuse me, Sheriff, are you here to take John B away for foster care?" 

Sheriff Peterkin chuckles, "Now why would I do that? There have been arrangements made for him so you'll still see your friend." She assures. Trinity smiles and nods, then all the adults leave.

Finally, John B woke up. He balanced his head up looking around the room at everything, "Where am I?" He slurs.

"St. Olive's." Sarah says, "You fell from the Hawks Nest. You have a concussion and a broken wrist."

John B moves his head to look down at his left arm. In the corner of his eye, he sees Trinity and he smiles, "Hello to you too,"

Trinity smiles warmly at him and goes to sit on his bed as well, "John B how has your body not completely shattered to pieces?"
