Paige's P.O.V.
All chaos broke loose as soon as we arrived.
We were immediately surrounded by all sorts of disgusting monsters. A few of them
I recognised from training at camp.
I saw dozens of draceanae, hellhounds, empousai and one man amidst it all with fiery eyes that seemed to burn into my soul and turn it to toxic waste in my belly.
The man from my dream.
Within minutes, I was dodging and kicking. Slashing my blade through countless hellhounds and draceanae.
Somewhere over to my left, I heard Connor shout.
"Travis! Teleport back to camp. Get help!"
I couldn't focus on that for too long because an empousa shrieked and lunged at me.
I quickly dodged and sliced through her stomach, sending dust raining down.
I was covered in blood, sweat and monster dust. I had never felt more alive.
I flashed Connor a cocky grin before turning back to come face to face with a glowing pair of golden eyes.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp, excruciating pain in my left side and let out an ear splitting shriek.
I looked down to find a jagged piece of metal sticking out of my body, just below my hip.
My knees buckled and I sunk to the ground.
The last thing I heard was a low maniacal laughter before I blacked out.
The only thing I could think.
The demigod in the dream.
Was me.
