Sorry that I haven't updated in forever I've been a bit busy and I forgot.... Soz bout that....

Chapter 23.

Paige's P.O.V.

I was in my new bunk at the Aphrodite cabin, when I heard a soft tap on the window above my head. At first, I ignored it, as I was way too tired to look up, but when the tapping continued, I didn't want the rest of the Aphrodite cabin to wake up.

I turned and opened the curtains, only to come face to face with Derek shaw.

I opened the window and climbed into the night.

"What is it?" I asked Derek.

"I want to show you something, but we gotta hurry because otherwise we will get eaten by the cleaning harpies." I assumed he was joking about that last part.

"Can't this wait till morning?" I asked.

"No, come on" he grabbed my hand and ran towards the woods. I had no choice but to follow.

We ran through the trees until we found a rope ladder dangling down from a tree.

Derek started to climb, looking down at me.

"You coming or not?" He chuckled.

I started to climb the rickety rope ladder. We came out onto a wooden platform on the top of the trees.

The view was extraordinary. I almost fell back down the ladder and would have had Derek not pulled me up.

The skies went on forever. The pitch black might was sprinkled with spiralling constellations that shone throughout the sky. The bluish glow of the magical border seemed to enhance the starlight.

"Wow" I breathed.

"I found this place during capture the flag a while ago, no idea who built it. I thought you should see it."

"It's amazing, thank you."

"Don't mention it. So Aphrodite. I would have pegged you for a Hermes kid after prank night, but you can't argue when Aphrodite herself comes to claim you!"

"Does that not usually happen?" I ask suddenly embarrassed.

"It's very rare, but it usually means something big is going to happen."

"Good or bad?"

"We will have to wait and find out. We should probably be getting back now. We need the sleep."

As we were leaving the woods, Derek grabbed my hand and pulled me back.

"Hey, uh... About what happened during capture the flag-" I started to interrupt but he stopped me.

"I know you were just using me, when we kissed, to get the flag, and I'm fine with that, but you should know that I'm into you and I'm here. The offers open if you want me"

I didn't know what to say.

These situations were always awkward for me. I was about to reply when someone interrupted.

"Paige, can I talk to you?" I turned around to see Connor walking towards us. His eyes cold and hard.
