Paige's P.O.V.

That night I had my first night mare. My first real, proper nightmare.

There was a battle raging around me.

Thousands of odd shaped creatures were crowded round two demigods fighting for their lives.

I couldn't make out their appearances from where I was standing and couldn't move any closer.

Suddenly, a large man with glowing eyes surged forward and stabbed one of the demigods in the gut. A loud shriek sounded through the air and rattled my bones as the demigod collapsed to the ground.

I tried to rush forward but was glued in place. I could only watch as the other demigod ran forward and they disappeared in a flash of light.

I woke up sweating and panting.

The next morning, I ran to the forge 10 minutes late.

"Sorry I'm late. What did I miss?"

"Leo was just about to explain to us what he designed." Connor said turning to face me.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, fine." I say.

"Hi, I'm Leo Valdez, otherwise known as the supreme commander of the Argo II." Said the skinny Hispanic boy.

"Yeah, the repair boy more like." Travis snickered.

"Anyway..." Leo trailed off. "I've been working on a teleportation device."

"What? How is that even possible?" I asked curiously.

"It's quite simple actually. I based the design on Persephone's pearls."

"That's fascinating! How did you get the device to work with the pearls?"

"Well-" Leo started before Connor cut him off.

"When you two are done nerding out..."

"Oh sorry." Leo said, turning around and rummaging through the piles of projects on his desk.

"I am Not a nerd" I hissed at Connor, elbowing him in the ribs.

"What ever you say Mathews." Connor whispered back.

"Here, take these." Leo said handing us each a celestial bronze device with a yellow centre that straps onto your wrist.

"All you do is imagine where you want to go, then hit the yellow button in the centre. They only have enough power for the trip there and back before they need recharging." Leo said, waiting for all that to sink in. "Any questions?"

"Does it come in black?" I joked.

"Stop kidding yourself Paige, we know your not batman." Travis smirked.

"I know, I'm more like cat woman anyway. You can be penguin if you like." I smirked back.

"What was that you were saying about not being a nerd?" Connor laughed.

"Shut it Stoll."

"Anyway" Leo interrupted again. "The address is 2150 strandford cross. It's an old abandoned industrial estate. Good luck."

"See you on the other side." Connor winked.

"Geronimo." I smiled before we disappeared in a blinding flash of light.

And that's when it happened.
