Paige's P.O.V.

Everyone was staring at me.

There was a soft pink light above me flashing the symbol of a dove.

There was a brilliant flash of light and a beautiful woman appeared in front of me.

Her appearance seemed to change constantly.

Sometimes her hair was blonde, then it would change to dark brown or bright red. Here eyes were a burst of different colours all at once.

All the boys seemed to be watching her in awe. She turned to me and smiled.

"Hello sweetie, I'm your mum, Aphrodite."

I said something really clever like,

"Uuhhh yeah"

"It's a shame the other one couldn't make it, but her story was spectacular!"

I felt my hands curl into fists at my sides.

"Don't worry. I'll make your love life just as exciting."

I was ready to punch this goddess in the face. Mother or not.

"There's something special about this one, but I'll leave that to you to figure out." She said to Chiron before disappearing in a puff of pink smoke.

There was a terrible few moments where nobody spoke. They all just stared.

Finally Chiron shouted.

"Paige Mathews, daughter of Aphrodite!" And everyone cheered. "Piper, can you show Paige the Aphrodite cabin and help her get her stuff?"

A pretty girl came up to me with choppy hair and multicoloured eyes.

"Hi, I'm piper, head of the Aphrodite cabin"

"Hi, I'm Paige, so what is Aphrodite goddess of?"

"Love and beauty. Which explains a lot actually because your really pretty."

"Uh...... Thanks" I replied awkwardly.

We got to the Hermes cabin and I went inside to get my things. Connor was waiting for me on my bunk.

"So... Aphrodite huh?"

"Is that bad?" I asked.

"No, actually. It suits you. I wanted to ask, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. But what did Aphrodite mean when she said 'its a shame the other one couldn't make it'?" I just stared at him for a few minutes.

"Uh, it's kinda a long story." I said looking down at my feet.

"No, it's okay. You don't have to tell me" Connor rushed.

"No, I want to tell you, but not now. I'm tired, can I tell you in the morning?"

"Yeah sure, I'll come and find you" and with that, he got up and left.

I grabbed all my stuff and ran outside to where piper was waiting.
