Xavier's Pov
I silently watched Samuel go into his room. I wish I could comfort him. I hope he consider me for once. I know I sound somewhat selfish.
I opened my phone and saw 5 missed calls from Max. I dialed his number immediately.
"Hello Xavier."
"Hey Max. You called me? Is everything alright?"
"Yes Xavier. The Alpha of the Dark Shadow Pack called us. He has something important to discuss with you and one more thing, Sophia tried to run away from the prison but we caught her in time. One of the guard helped her get away. He is also in the prison right now." I guess I have to declare death penalty for her soon.
"Okay Max. I will call him. Anything else?"
"No Sir." I then cut the call and dialed the number of the Alpha of the Dark Shadow Pack. Dark shadow Pack is one among the strongest Pack in our country.
"Hello." Came a slightly deep voice.
"Hello. This is Alpha Xavier speaking. Are you Alpha Logan?"
"Yes, speaking." He continued "So Alpha, this is a matter of great concern. I suggest that either you come to my pack or I come to yours then we can talk calmly."
"I am comfortable with you coming over. I will make arrangements for your stay. Can you come tomorrow, if there is no problem?"
"Yes Alpha. It is absolutely fine. So see you tomorrow then. Thank you."
"Thank you Alpha Logan."
I messaged Max to make arrangements for tomorrow.
Next day(Afternoon)
I was sitting at the office and Max mind linked me that the Alpha has arrived with his beta and delta. I rushed out to greet them.
"Welcome to our pack Alpha Logan." We shook our hands.
"Thank you Alpha Xavier. Meet my Beta and Delta, Chris and Matthew." I greeted them and introduced Max, Damien and Lorenzo to them.
"You all might be tired. We have prepared guest rooms for your stay. You can take some rest and then we will meet at my office."
"Sure, thank you."
Samuel's Pov
Yesterday was the best day of my life. Well, apart from Xavier. My pups only stayed for few hours, but then also we enjoyed every second of it. Elias and Elliot clutched their hands so tightly when they were leaving for the pack house. Somehow I ended up promising that we will visit them soon. Thanks to the Moon Goddess, they didn't ask anything about Xavier.
Today is my workday so I am getting ready for work. Thankfully Allison took a leave so I don't have to worry about my kids. I feed them breakfast with the help of Ally and kissed them goodbye. I checked the time and it was already 9:50, I guess I have to walk faster otherwise manager will have my ass for being late.
As I was about to turn left, an expensive car suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stopped in front of me. I stood there in shock. I guess it was my fault for not looking where I was going. I recovered from the shock and mumbled a 'sorry' to them.
The person in the driver seat opened the window. I smelled them and realise that they are all high ranking werewolves and from their looks I can infer that they too recognized me. But what are they doing here?
"Hey Princess!!" My eyes widened at the name.
"Y-Yes?"
"Mind telling us the direction of the Omnipresent Pack?" My face paled at the mention of the pack.
"N-No. I mean I d-don't know." I declined.
"Mmm...I know you are lying princess!" He told me with a smirk plastered on his face. Again princess. My face became beet red at his nickname.
Someone slapped the back of his head. "Quit bothering him Chris, maybe he is not lying, let's ask somebody else."
"Okay. You don't have to hit me in front of him." He grumbled.
The guy, whose name is Chris, turned to look at me. "Bye Princess! See you soon." He winked at me and left.
I regained my composure and checked the time.
'Oh no! I am 25 minutes late.'
I quickly reached the restaurant and apologized to the manager for being late.
That good looking creepy guy was still on my mind.
Xavier's Pov
At his office
"So what is the matter Alpha Logan?" I asked him politely.
"From the past few days, my neighboring packs have been reporting multiple rogue attacks. They even managed to kill the Alpha of one of the packs. From what I have learned, their leader is someone who should not be underestimated. He is targeting small packs as of now. After this he might try to infiltrate our packs."
"Okay. But why all of a sudden? I guess we should increase our patrolling more and start recruiting and training of more pack warriors in case they announce any kind of war or something."
"Yes Alpha. I have a proposal for you. You may refuse if you don't like it but it is for the benefit of both our packs." I nodded at him to continue. "So what I am thinking about is that we can arrange a secret training session for the warriors. Since those rogues infiltrated a small territory few days ago, they will not be able to announce war for 8-9 weeks. This time will be enough to outrun them. What do you think?"
"I think it is a good idea. We don't mind arranging a training session here at the pack."
"Same here Alpha."
I discussed some other important matters with them for few hours. Alpha Logan is even ready to share the training cost so it will be a profitable deal for the both of us.
