Chapter 23

Chris' Pov

Next day(morning)

That fucking Alpha stupid Xavier. How dare he? He ruined everything. Why the fuck was he there? Can't he see Samuel was feeling so uncomfortable around him. I couldn't sleep the whole night because of that SPOILER.

What disturbed me the most 7was that why he is so persistent with Samuel. There is something that I don't know and I have to find it out. I also know that Samuel won't say anything sooner and I am actually losing my patience. I have to approach Allison. She's my only hope. She usually wakes up early in the morning and I am on my way towards the kitchen.

"Hey. Good Morning Ally." I greeted her.

"Hey Chris! How are you?"

"Good."

"Hmm! I am extremely sorry for snapping at you yesterday." She apologized with a bit of embarrassment.

"It's alright. But I do have a question for you."

"Shoot!"

"what's up with Xavier and Samuel?" As soon as these words left my mouth, she literally stiffened. Now I am sure there's something.

"I don't know. Why?"

"Come on Ally!! I know you're lying, okay. At least give me some clue."

"I know a lot of things Chris and I am afraid I can't share it with you. This is something only Samuel could share. I know you are trying really very hard. I hope one day he will give you the whole story of his past. And please promise me Chris, that you will not leave his side no matter what."

"I promise..But you are scaring me right now."

"The truth is much scarier."

"What is the truth?" she hit my head lightly.

"Don't trap me. I can't share it. He will do it when the time comes."

"And when will that come." I grumbled.

"What?"

"God she is so dumb." I muttered under my breath but her red face says something else. "time." I shouted and ran away. She came running towards me to hit me once again but I am the fastest!

I started walking towards the training ground to stretch my body and meanwhile Xavier was also coming from that direction. We both made eye contact with each other and then, I heard him mutter 'fucker' when he crossed me.

"Dickhead." I shouted at him and he growled in response. He dares come near my Samuel.

Samuel's Pov

After an eventful night, which consisted of sneers and growls by both Chris and Xavier, I woke up with a massive headache. I popped two aspirins with a glass of water after having my breakfast and laid down once again to get some sleep.

Few hours later, someone knocked the door and I told them to enter.

"Hey Samuel." Chris came with a jovial look on his face.

"H-hi Chris. How are you?"

"I am good but you don't look good. I mean you always look good but now you are looking somewhat feverish. Is everything alright?"

"Ahh yes. Just h-headache. Nothing s-serious."

"Ohh- okay. You take rest. I will come later." He said with a disappointed look and started walking towards the door. I felt bad so I stopped him right away.

"Y-You can sit. I am a-alright now." He instantly got himself seated on the bed. He was looking so nervous.

"Are you alright?"

He nodded. "Y-Yes, I am. I just wanted to ask you something."

"What?"

"Um" he took a deep breath then continued, "Do you consider me your friend?"

"yes but w-why all of a sudden."

"I want to know something and only you could tell me."

"What is it?"

"Yesterday, why Xavier wanted to train you and what about the whole movie scene?"

His question really surprised me. But was I ready to share it with him?

"I-he was my f-friend that's why." Okay that was not a complete lie. We were good friends before all that drama happened.

"Was?"

"Um Yes. I-" No I don't want to say it.

"Please tell me Samuel. Trust me. I will never judge you Princess."

"I k-know Chris. B-But it is a v-very long s-story. Besides, I can't i-include you in my t-tragedies." I started crying.

He scooted closer to me and hugged me. He wiped my tears and asked me with a face full of concern.

"Samuel? Please tell me. I want to know you. Just please trust me for once."

"I will tell you C-Chris. Let's just go s-somewhere else to talk. N-Not at this place. Okay?"

"Then where?"

"C-Can we go outside. Maybe town."

"Okay. Let me inform Matthew that I won't be able to train the pack warriors today." I felt bad that he had to miss the whole day because of me.

'I hope he will not hate me after this.' I prayed mentally.

"He won't."

"Hey Cedric. How are you?"

"Good. Now go on and tell him. I can't wait for what will happen to Xavier after this."

I just shook my head. Cedric is Cedric.

"Are you ready?" Chris asked me.

"Yes. Could we take A-ally with us, if you d-don't mind?"

"Of course, Sam. I will be waiting for you near my car." He left.

I went towards Allison's room to take her with me and I informed two of the nannies to look after my kids. Those four are unpredictable when they are together.

Xavier was busy in the training ground with his friends and I don't think he will be able to recognize our absence. And why should I tell him about my whereabouts in the first place.

After one hour, we reached a quite luxurious restaurant.

"You c-can take us s-somewhere e-else. This is w-way too expensive."

"Come on. Don't worry. I am loaded with a lot of money." Chris boasted dramatically.

We were seated at the private area and I Knew what was about to come.
