Chris' Pov
"Good morning Princess."
"G-Good morning C-Chris."
"So why are you up so early in the morning? Were you missing me?" I teased him.
"Huh!-No. I-I mean I wasn't f-feeling sleepy."
"I am hurt." I faked crying. He giggled softly at me.
"Yes Samuel. He misses you so much and he wants to ask you on a-" I slapped Matthew immediately on his head. He grumbled something about insulting him under his breath. God he is so unpredictable.
'do you really want to mess things up idiot?' I shouted at him through the link.
'Hehe! Sorry.'
"Go bring some water for me." I glared at him.
"Yes Boss!" He saluted and went away. So it's finally me and Samuel.
"Come on Sammy, let's go for a walk."
"But what about M-Matthew?"
"Don't worry about that idiot."
"Okay." He stood up from the chair and we started walking towards the lake. This pack is really well maintained. Not that our pack is any less.
The path to the lake is quite bumpy so we were having difficulties while walking. Samuel was walking ahead of me. As soon as he was about to take another step, he slipped and you know when your crush is about to fall you catch them just in time. I held him and we both got lost in each other's eyes. I didn't realized that we were in the same position for maybe 2-3 minutes. Samuel was blushing while looking at me.
"C-Chris?" Samuel called me and soon pushed himself from that awkward position.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes..S-Sorry for t-this."
"Well I won't mind holding you again." I winked at him.
"C-Come on. Let's g-go." I started laughing. He is such a cutie.
We reached the shore after few minutes and sat there comfortably. We were looking at the fishes in that lake peacefully.
"May I ask you something princess?" I broke the silence.
"Yes. W-What is it?" He looked up at me.
"Why were you living in that town if you knew the Alpha of this pack? I mean the town is not safe for werewolves and, you and alpha know each other so you could've stayed here. This place doesn't seem that bad." He tensed at my question.
"I-I liked it there more." I am sure he is lying. He is so innocent.
"I know you are lying princess. I will not force you to speak up but if you need someone to talk to, you can always count on me. I will always help you in every situation."
"Thank you." I patted his head lovingly.
"W-Where is y-your mate?" he asked me. At first I was shocked but then I smiled and looked down at him.
"Well he-he is no more in this world." I looked up at the sky and continued "He was a great soul."
"Ohh- I am so s-sorry for your l-loss."
"It's really okay Samuel." "You know he was just like you."
Samuel's pov
Wow! I never imagined that he had suffered such things in his life.
"Do you m-miss him?"
"Yes, I do. During such a short span of time, he became everything to me. But I failed to protect him from his own people." He continued his story about his mate and how he died. I ended up crying at the end.
"Hey Samuel. Don't cry sweetheart." He rubbed my back in a soothing manner and I stopped sniffling moments later.
"T-Thank you for s-sharing your story and t-trusting me."
"You know, sharing releases emotional stress and I am feeling so relieved after sharing this with you."
"You're right."
"Let's go. It's already 7 am. Matthew will be waiting for us with water to splash on me." I laughed.
Xavier's pov
At 9 am, Same day
The guard opened the cell door showing a very disheveled Sophia.
She looked up glaring at me.
"What's up, 'son'?" She said mockingly.
"I will ask you some questions Sophia and I expect you to be honest or you won't like the consequences."
"Huh!! Ask?"
"Do you still have any connection with the rogues?"
"You really are dumb Alpha Xavier. You closed me here at the cell and expecting me to still have connection with the outsiders. Just who made you Alpha?" She mocked at me.
"Max." He handed me a scalpel and she looked at it with fear. "tie her to the chair."
"I am speaking the truth. Believe me." Her voice wavered.
"I don't think so. I am repeating once again. Do you still have any connection?"
"No I don't." within a swift motion, I sliced her left hand. Her screams filled the prison. I went for the right hand but she stopped me.
"Yes I have. I have. Please stop this. It hurts."
"Tell me everything." She nodded.
"There is one person in your pack who is helping me with this. She use to give me the information of the pack activities and on my orders, she secretly goes to the Rogue's land and share the activities of this pack. I already knew about Samuel's whereabouts and I ordered the rogue to attack him and his children. But I don't know how he was again saved by some idiots. Otherwise he would be dead by now. But now I don't have any such contact with that girl. Her name is Sarah." Hearing this I lost my control and with full force, I sliced her right hand.
"Weren't you satisfied with the pain you inflicted on him. Hah?" I growled at her.
''I can never be Xavier. I will definitely kill him and his sons next time."
"Really? For that you have to be alive and I don't think that is going to happen."
"W-What? You- You can't be doing this to your mother."
"Step-mother." I corrected her.
"Max." I called my beta.
"Yes Xavier?"
"Hang her and click some pictures for me. I can't risk sending her dead body to those rogues."
"Sure Sir." I left the room not before hearing her yells and curses for everyone.
I called Damien and told him to bring that Sarah in front of me.I will not banish her until the disputes between us and these rogues gets settled.
