Xavier's Pov
After our discussion with Alpha Logan, he left for his pack leaving behind his beta and delta. He will send almost fifty warriors from his pack for the training session. We are going to start the training soon.
I am doing some paperwork at my office and suddenly Lorenzo entered. I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Hey Xavier, I have heard from my sources that those rogues are targeting pack less werewolves so as to enhance their capacity. We have to do something. They are also kidnapping omegas for some stupid reasons. Samuel and his friend are also in danger. You have to do something." He said while breathing heavily.
"What the hell! We have to take them to a safer place quickly Enzo. We will go tomorrow to their place. I can't take any kind of risks when it comes to them." He nodded understandingly.
"Okay then. See you." He left the office.
I sighed in frustration. Where should I take them? I am completely sure that he will never come to this place. At least I should try to convince him.
I am just wondering about whether he will give me a chance or not? Even if he gives, will he forgive me or not? He didn't even introduced me to my kids.
Xander and Seb miss them so much. If not for me than at least for them he can come here. In that way, maybe I can get closer to him and our kids.
"Not a bad idea Xavier."
"Hey Lucian."
"Hey." He sounds sad.
"What happened Luc?"
"Xavier, even if Samuel forgives you, Cedric will never forgive me. He despises me. He hoped that I will bring an end to his pain and humiliation, but I did the work of adding fuel to the fire. And I don't blame him. If I were in his place, I would have done the same thing." He stated sadly.
"But you agreed on my idea right? Which means that deep inside you are praying that he might forgive you. We have to work hard Lucian. We cannot give up without even trying."
"You're right. Thanks Xav." He said in relief.
Samuel's Pov
I did my usual work in the convenience store. I feel something ominous in the air. I will try to leave early from work today. I called Allison and told her the same thing. My pups are also with me so it will be too risky if I get into trouble at the middle of the night. Thankfully, unlike restaurant, it will only take 10 minutes to reach home.
This might be the result of overthinking but I can't take any chance when it comes to the safety of my pups. I went to the manager's office door and knocked it. I heard a faint 'come in' and went inside.
"Oh Samuel. Any problem?" He asked sweetly.
"N-No Sir. I j-just wanted t-to ask, if I c-can leave e-early today. I w-will work o-overtime some o-other day if you w-want me t-to. I don't feel s-safe at night and my kids—" He cut me off.
"Okay okay. I understand Samuel. You can leave early today. I don't mind and you don't have to work overtime. You are one of my trusted employee." "And don't worry, it won't affect your pay."
"T-Thank you so m-much Sir."
"Most welcome." He smiled. He is much better that my boss at the restaurant.
I went outside the office and sighed in relief.
It's already 6:30 pm. Half an hour more and I will be done for the day. I started arranging the shelves with toiletries and my manager came to me.
"Samuel you can go now. Felix will manage from here."
"But 30 m-minutes are s-still left?"
"I said we can manage from here and you look exhausted. You need rest Samuel."
"Okay t-then. Thank y-you once a-again." He smiled and left.
I changed my clothes and left the store along with my kids.
I feel so anxious right now. 'Everything will be okay.' I prayed in my mind. 'God Ally, you really scared me.'
"Daddy! We are hungry." Elias said.
"Few minutes more pup. I will make your favorite food today. Okay?"
"Yes Daddy!" He exclaimed happily. I smiled at him.
Why is this road so deserted today? I heard footsteps behind me. 'Oh God' I clutched into my pups hand tightly. I gathered some courage to look back and no one was there. I am sure that someone was there. Five minutes more and we will be in our safe haven.
"Hey Cedric, I am feeling scared."
"Don't worry, increase you pace and try to go to a crowded area."
"I can't Cedric, Elias and Elliot are with me."
"Then stay alerted. I will come out if something happens."
"Alright."
I started looking here and there but I didn't see anyone. 'Wow where are these people when you actually need them.'
I continued with my walk and I was too much focused on my back that I couldn't see what was waiting in front of me.
'Rogue' and a big one. He smirked maliciously at me.
"Hmm. An omega. Not bad."
"We can take him." Oh no! Two rogues.
"Yes. We need some enjoyment. Right Philip? He will be of good use for us."
"But what should we do with those pups."
My Pups. I gulped. My grip got tighter on them. I can't let them harm my pups.
"No p-please leave u-us. Why are y-you after me? I am j-just an omega. P-Please s-search for someone e-else." I tried to remain calm, but failed miserably. I started to move out of their way. One of them held my shoulder and was about to touch Elias and Elliot. That's it. Cedric took over and growled at that person.
"How dare you to challenge us. Hah?" He charged at me. I braced myself for the punch and, yes you're right, it never came.
"Missed me Princess?"
