Samuel's Pov
"H-Hi Chris!" I greeted him. The servant already left the place and we are all standing outside my soon-to-be room.
"Hey Chris! What are you doing here?" Ally asked him.
"There may be a war in future. So we collaborated with this pack so that we share our skills and become strong so that we won't lose. What about you all?"
"Oh! We were invited here to join this pack. The alpha knows us that's why." Ally told him. That day she just told him that my mate had rejected me. She didn't mention anything about Xavier.
"Good. Now that you are here, we don't have to worry about you. And most importantly, we will be having each other's company." He gaze was fixated on me.
"Yes! Y-You are r-right!" I replied nervously.
"So, how are you Prin-" I cut him off immediately. I am not a female!
"Samuel. Y-You can also call me S-Sam." I told him.
"I know your name. And NO! Princess suits you more." I am probably looking like a tomato right now and Ally was biting her cheeks to control herself from bursting. "You are living in this room...Hey that's great. My room is just the opposite one."
"For h-how long you a-are going to b-be here?" I asked him.
"As long as you want me to stay here, Princess." He replied flirtatiously. Is this the same guy who threatened those rogues?
"Okay."
"Ohh! How are you two cuties?" He cooed at Elias and Elliot.
"Good Uncle!" Elias replied shyly.
"I have some work now otherwise Matt will have my head. See you later." He pinched my nose and ran away.
"Hey." I yelled at him but he just disappeared into the hallway.
"Let's get inside. I c-can't wait to m-meet them."
We went inside and a nanny was there taking care of Xander and Seb. As soon as their eyes landed on us, they jumped out of their place and ran towards me. I bent down to their level and kissed them.
"How a-are you, m-my pups?"
"We good daddy." They kissed me and cuddled with Elias and Elliot. The nanny greeted me and excused herself.
We all played with each other for an hour and then the maid came to inform us about the lunch. Oh no! Everyone will be there. I called the nanny to take care of my pups for half an hour. Luckily she bought foods for them so I don't have to bring lunch for them.
I and Allison reached the hall and everyone turned their heads towards us. 'Look anywhere but here you'll.' I shouted in my mind.
I can see Uncle David and other two men smiling at us. I think they are Liam and Arthur. I averted my eyes to my food and concentrated on chewing. Xavier was also very quiet. He looked so uncomfortable. Heck! Everyone looked uncomfortable and because of this they started eating so fast. I would've laughed if the situation was different.
Suddenly somebody kicked my legs. I got startled only to find Chris smiling at me. I returned the smile and continued with my lunch. After finishing, I excused myself and turned around to walk back to my room.
"Son?" I know this voice and I am aware that he is calling me, but I am not able to look back.
"Son? Can you come with me for a while?" Allison was about to interrupt but I held her hand and reassured her that I will be fine. I just nodded and followed him.
"Come." He went towards his study room and I followed him.
As soon as we reached there, he suddenly hugged me. Only if I was a naive twelve year old Samuel, I would've felt protected.
"I am sorry my son. I am so sorry for ignoring you for that ridiculous women. Please forgive me. I don't know how I will face Tyler and Melissa after my death. I am the one who gave you such a filthy life. Please, give me a chance so that at least I could face your parent and Allyssa up there." He pleaded while holding me. I could feel moistness on my head. I never saw uncle crying. I am crying too. "They left you under my care and look what I did to you."
"I don't know Uncle. E-Everyone asks f-for a chance. I l-listen to e-everyone and even then no one ever t-tried to listen t-to me. Y-you were my only h-hope yet you too t-turned away." I told him whilst crying.
"I know my child. That women, she filled my mind with so much lies that I was not able to make out the truth. I promise you one thing that your miseries will end one day and I will help you to end it."
"I-I will try U-Uncle. I will t-try."
"Thank you son." He kissed my forehead like he used to do when I was a child.
Uncle looked so broken and vulnerable right now. After Luna, Sophia became his everything and when your love betrays you, it will break you like anything. I left the place and walk back into my room.
Chris' Pov
We were about to start the lunch and Samuel came along with his friend. Suddenly the room turned quiet. I could sense that he was very much uncomfortable with the silence. As we all started eating everything became normal. Some of the people were looking at Samuel with pity and sadness. Why?
His eyes were casted on his food.. I kicked his legs to gain his attention and he looked up at me. I gave him my signature smile and he smiled back at me. Yes! I made him smile.
After lunch, he excused himself and was about to take the step to walk back to his room and meanwhile the former alpha stopped him. Why did he call him Son?
I also excused myself and went secretly to their direction. I couldn't hear clearly but I knew he was apologizing about giving him miseries. Now I am confused..
What misery? I have to find it out. Is this the reason why he always looked scared? I guess I will have to ask someone. The problem is, who will answer it.
