Chapter 52: Sarah Down

Flying over to Area 51 was the most exhilarating experience. When we landed on the outskirts of the base Bucky all but jumps away from Thor. I land a bit away from them and sent that picture to LIL O, cause I'll be damned if he thinks that is disappearing. As I am walking over to them I feel the blood call pulling me towards Sarah. Bucky rushes up to me and scoops me in his arms.

Bucky: "How are you feeling Doll?"

Dets: "Just fine Soldier. How was your trip?"

Bucky: "We are never speaking about that again."

I giggle as he kisses me and sets me down. I look over to the far right of the complex.

Dets: "She is in that building. Let's go."

I snap my Katana and daggers to myself, and I snap Bucky's gun to him with his silencer and extra clip.

Thor: "Do you expect violence?"

Dets: "No, but it never hurts to be prepared right? Not all of us are bullet proof cousin."

Thor: "Mortal weapons can not harm a God cousin."

Dets: "If that's the case...." I turn and grab Bucky's arm. "Shoot me.. in the arm or something."

Bucky: "We are not doing this again!"

Thor: "Again?"

Dets: "I am testing a theory, and I know you can hit me where it will go straight through. We already know I will heal quickly. I have a feeling about this though. Come on, I trust you."

Thor: "You are not considering this are you Consort?"

Bucky: "Have you met her? If I don't do it, she will run up on a guard or something. She's a particular brand of reckless."

Dets: "If you two are done talking about me like I am not here."

I stand a few feet away from them. Thor looks positively taken aback. Bucky looks stuck somewhere between nauseous and turned on. He aims his weapon me, lining up his shot, closing his eyes, and firing.

Dets: "Well that is an interesting turn of events."

Bucky opens his eyes and looks at me. I show him my arm, no bullet hole.

Bucky: "Did I miss?"

Dets: "Have you ever missed a shot Solider?"

Bucky: "Not in the last 70 years."

Dets: "Exactly."

Thor: "So what happened?"

Dets: "My theory is that every time I accept a new part of myself, my life, my power grows. You called me the Goddess of Love. I accepted that as my truth. You just said so mortal weapon can hurt a God. So in conclusion, I self actualized myself to bullet proof."

Bucky: "What?"

Thor: "She accepted her fate as the Goddess of Love, becoming stronger. Her acceptance of her fate allowed her to rise above her mortal limitations."

Dets: "I'm a God, Solider."

Bucky: "Fuck."

Dets: "Right?"

Thor: "You two speak so harshly."

Dets: "Never said I was divine cousin."

I hear Bucky chuckle as Thor shakes his head.

Dets: "Anyway, I feel Sarah, she is this way."

The boys follow behind me as we make our way over to a military looking bunker. We come up to the fence and its electrified and all the other things they do to keep people out. I grab their hands and they turn to me in confusion.
