Chapter 30

[Link POV]
(Lunch)
Emily leaned her head on my shoulder after we sat down at the lunch table.
"So what are we doing after school?" she said.
" Is that why you're cuddling up to me?" I turned to look her in the eyes.
" Yes I'm using you're weaknesses against you." she said sarcastically and giggled. She rested her head back on my shoulder before Rhett walked over.
" Hey do you guys mind if Jessie sits with us?"
"Oh are you guys??" Emily asked excitedly.
" No I just thought maybe we could all talk or whatever." He said.
" Oh.. sure bring her over!" Emily said. Rhett walked away and brought her over.
" Hey Em! Hey Link!" She smiled.
"Hey Jessie!" Emily waved. Rhett and Jessie sat across from us.
" So did you tell Emily about your plans?" Rhett looked at me.
" No, it's a surprise!" I said looking down at Emily and back up at them.
" What plans?" Jessie asked.
" Oh it's our one weekaversary!" Emily sat up straight while speaking." and he won't tell me what we're doing!" She looked at me acting furious, I just smiled back and she smiled soon after.
" Aww how cute!" Jessie exclaimed looking up at Rhett and back down at the table. She then began," are you guys going to the da- nevermind" we all looked at her.
" what were you gonna say?" Rhett asked.
She sighed and began," There's a dance next Friday... but I wasn't supposed to tell anyone." she looked down.
" Oh are you part of the school council?" Rhett looked down at her.
" Yeah... President actually"
" Wow cool!" Rhett said smiling. " why didn't we know this?" He looked over at Emily and I.
" I knew" "me too" we said.
" I'm an idiot." he said.
*ring, ring*
