[Link POV]
(School hallway:morning)
"Boo!" I said walking up behind Emily. I hugged her and kissed her cheek.
" Charles Lincoln!" She said playfully slapping my arm," you scared me!" We laughed and I pulled her into a proper hug. While hugging I whispered," I have something very special planned for tomorrow."
" And what is that?" She asked.
" You'll have to wait" I poked her nose and she giggled. We held hands to English.
[ Emily POV]
We walked in and took our seats in the third row behind Rhett. The teacher began her boring lesson and we just sat there. I saw a note land on my desk. I looked at Link and he smiled. I opened up the note.
' hey' I silently giggled and wrote ' hello'. For the rest of the class we passed notes back and forth.
(Lunch)
Rhett walked up to Link and I at our usual lunch table.
" Hey, what took you so long?" Link asked him.
" oh... sorry coach wanted to ask me something."
"What about?"
"Well, you know Adam the captain? Well he apparently was kicked off the team for drug use.... and guess what?!"
I already saw where this was going and smiled.
" What?" Link asked, I'm guessing he knew too.
" You guys are talking to the Harnett Central Boys Basketball Team Captain!"
" We kinda figured that." I said and giggled.
" Nice man!" Link said. Rhett and him high-fived.
For the rest of lunch Rhett went on about how he tried to keep cool when his coach told him the amazing news.
