[Link POV]
"21" Emily said. The class laughed at her. I felt bad, so I didn't laugh. Maybe she'll notice and change her mind about me being a jerk.
" Pay more attention Miss. Namont" Mrs. Kyle scolded Emily.
I got up and raised my voice
" WHY DID YOU PICK EMILY?!? DID YOU WANT HER TO GET LAUGHED AT.. YOU KNEW IT WAS GONNA HAPPEN!!" I slapped Mrs. Kyle across the face.
I looked up from my desk and noticed I hadn't moved from my seat at all. I looked back at Emily, she was playing with her pencil.
*ring, ring*
I got up and grabbed my stuff. It was time for science, I looked back at Emily and tapped her on the shoulder before she walked away.
"Yeah?" She asked.
" Don't trip." I said and smiled. She smiled back and walked away. ' maybe she doesn't think I'm a jerk' I thought and quickly found Rhett nearing to the next classroom door.
" Hey where did you go?" He asked.
" Oh.. I dropped my pencil in the hall, that 'Jake' kid kicked it away from me and walked away laughing. no big deal" I said lying to my blood brother.
" Jake's a jerk." Rhett said before sitting down. I looked over at where Emily sits and she was staring back at me, we both looked away. 'Why was she looking at me?'
"Hey dude is there anything in my face?" I asked Rhett.
"Uh... no.. why?" He asked.
" Emily was looking at me.. she never looks at me!" That I know of...
" Do you think she likes you?" He asked. I looked back at her, she was looking at me again, but quickly turned away. ' what if she does?' I began smiling and Rhett looked over at me.
" You okay?" He asked.
" Yep." I replied still smiling.
