[Emily's POV]
*knock, knock, knock*
I opened my eyes, startled by the knocking. I looked around and my gaze flew to the window. I got out of bed and sleepily moved over to the window. I opened the curtain slightly, and wider as I saw Link standing ten feet below me. I smiled and opened the window.
" Link?" I whisper-shouted.
" Yeah." He whisper-shouted back.
" What are you doing here?"
" I didn't want our night to end." a barely visible smile crept onto his face. He cautiously looked around and began climbing up the side of the house on the gutter pipe.
He reached my window and I let him in.
" It's almost one o'clock, Link." I say.
" I know, but I never got to show you my last surprise."
" Well, we can't go out now" I look down at my pajamas and over at the clock.
" We don't have to." he said smiling. He pulled his phone out from his pocket, tapped various times around the screen and set the phone on the bed. A song began to play,
' A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me
Might end up together
It's like wishing for rain
As I stand in the dessert
Well, I'm holding you closer than most
Cause you are my heaven..'
(A drop in the ocean by Ron Pope)
Link pulled me into a tight hug and we slowly swayed, back and forth to the quiet music.
I laid my head on his chest, his heartbeats almost in rhythm with the song.
He pulled away and spun me around. When I turned back to face him his lips crashed into mine. I wrapped my arms around him, and he did the same to me. Our lips parted, as we continued to dance.
The song slowly ended and we stopped dancing, now just hugging in the middle of my bedroom.
" I love you, Charles Lincoln"I say quietly into his chest.
" I love you too, Emily Grace" he says.
He backs away and kisses my forehead.
"Just think, if you hadn't tripped last Monday, I would've never been able to call you mine."he said.
"I'm really happy I did. It wasn't a very graceful way of meeting my crush but oh well."
" Crush?" He asked.
" Yeah, um.. since sixth grade actually. I was stoked we were going to the same high school." I smiled and sat on my bed, he sat beside me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
" I've had a crush on you since sixth too." he says. I look up at him and sigh.
" Why didn't we meet sooner?"I asked.
" Maybe it was a sign, you know with the book? You're the front cover I'm the back cover and in between is our story."
(A/N: cheesiest thing I've ever heard but to continue....)
" That's a funny way of putting it, and with how Jake was talking about the story ending.." I frown and Link pulls me closer to him.
" remember what I said about how this story is far from over and nothing can ever come between us. I meant it. Emily Grace, I will love you for as long as I possibly can!" He says staring into my eyes, I do the same and eventually get lost in his.
( A/N: I think I want to end the book soon..
(*whispers*lets talk about that)
Okay, yes. I do want to end the book soon, only so I can work on my latest book, and maybe work on a sequel? I know sequels are always terrible and clearly unwanted but it's still in the debating process in the back- no more like the southwestern part of my mind, but anyways...
I don't know when or how I should end this but definitely thinking about it.
Welp,bai!
