Chapter 29

[Rhett POV]
" Hey Jessie when do you want me to help you with math?" I said approaching Jessie in the courtyard.
"Oh hey Rhett.. um, are you free after school today?"
" Yeah how about we meet back here after last period?"
"Sure sounds great!" She smiled and walked away. Link and Emily walked up soon after, holding hands.
" Hey Rhett!" Link said.
" Hey Link hey Em!" I said waving to them from a short distance. " So about your date with Emily?" I nudged Link.
" Oh yeah, I never got to tell you what I was planning for later" he looked over at Emily and back at me. " oh well" he smirked. " what the hell man!" I said punching his arm. "ow" he exclaimed.
" If you want to tell him I could go talk to Jessie or something" Emily suggested.
"No you don't have to." Link said, " yes sure go!" I practically pushed her away.
" Whoa dude, I have legs." she said, and hugged Link then walked away.
"Tell me!" I said impatiently. He sighed," after school I'm taking Emily to-" he began.
"To uh-" he said looking to his left and right cautiously. "Well?" I asked.
" Right uh-" he looked around again, but then ran off back to Emily. I rolled my eyes and ran after him.
" You my friend are a jerk" I said walking up to him. Emily and Jessie were still talking.
"Sorry dude, I can't tell you before my own girlfriend."
"Whatever" I crossed my arms.
" I've always wanted to play volleyball, but I didn't make any of the middle school teams." Emily said to Jessie
"I've made all of my middle school teams, even captain in 8th grade, are you trying out this year?"
" Maybe, I'm not that go-"
*ring,ring*
" yay! School!" Link said sarcastically before we walked into the building.
