[Emily POV]
*ring,ring*
I got up from my seat and walked out of the room. While rushing to my next class I tripped and fell onto the ground, my book went flying in one direction and my notebook in the other. I stood up got
my notebook and began walking to my science textbook.
Before reaching the book none other than Link Neal, the guy I've liked since 6th grade, gave me my book, smiled and walked away.
There were hardly anymore people in the hall so I rushed to class. I made it just before the bell. I took my seat and looked forward towards the teacher. Link was looking back at me. When our eyes met he looked away and began to talk to his friend Rhett. Both Link and Rhett are in all of my classes, we don't really talk though.
Class went by fast, it was boring, but it went by fast. When the bell rang everyone got up in excitement and walked out of the school. Everyone acts like school is a prison, personally it's not that bad. I walked out and into the school courtyard and sat on a bench waiting for my dad to pick me up. Link walked over to me, Rhett behind him, all I could think at the moment was
' don't say anything stupid'
" Hi!" Link said.
"Uh.. hi" I managed to say.
" I totally forgot to ask you if you were alright, when you tripped in the hall.." he rubbed the back if his neck and continued, " I kinda spaced it"
"Oh.. I'm fine, thanks for.. uh.. saving my book." I said. 'stupid, stupid, stupid' I thought. He laughed "well.. uh .. see you around" he did a slight wave and walked away with Rhett.
My dad pulled up to the school a few minutes after they left.
" Hey how was school?" He asked, looking back at me through the rear view mirror.
" Usual" I replied. Well I wasn't gonna say ' I tripped in the hallway, my crush saved my book and later on talked to me for the first time!?'.
