I don't remember much after that. I was in a daze. I was numb. All I remember is getting to the cabin that dad had bought. The simple life I never wanted. I wish I could have seen it. I remember standing at the door getting ready to meet my new little sister. I walked through the door, slowly looking at everything. Taking it all in. I walk into the living room and see Happy with a little girl who I assume is Morgan. She reminds me of myself at that age. That's enough to make me want to scream again.

Happy locks eyes with me and smiled. He didn't get snapped. At least my dad had three of the most important people still with him. Happy, Pepper, and Rhodey. That was something. Pepper who was walking in in front of me, whispers something to Morgan who walks up to me.

'You're Maya?' she asked.

I kneel so that I'm her height. 'Yeah. I am.'

'Daddy told me stories about you,' she said smiling. 'They always made him happier.'

Tears freely fell down my cheeks no matter how much I tried to stop them. 'So, you know all about me, huh?' She nods, smiling. 'Well then, I can't wait to get to know you, kid.'

I look up at Happy and Pepper. Pepper was crying. I smiled at her as I wiped tears off my cheeks and stood up.

'Daddy gave you a room,' Morgan said. 'Mommy helped him decorate.'

She took my hand and pulled me up the steps. Pepper and Happy followed behind us. I smile at the five-year-old. She jumps slightly as we stop at the closed door at the end of the hall.

'Go in,' she said excitedly.

I glance back at Pepper who nods. I take a deep breath before opening the door and looking around. The walls were grey, there was a queen-sized bed, a normal white desk, a dresser, a TV, and my hanging chair. There were pictures of me and him, me and Pepper, me and Peter, me and the whole team, and one of me and Nat I'd never seen all around. He was holding onto the memories, that was obvious. On the front of the bed was the Spider-man plushie Peter got for me as a joke. There was one Iron Man helmet on my side table with a note to it.

-A goodbye. Just in case.

I look around at the last thing my dad did for me. A symbol that he didn't just forget about me. I walk around the room taking everything in. I see Nat's sweater on the chair of the desk, and I grab it, staring at it and taking it in. I sit down on the bed momentarily, forgetting about everyone in the doorway. I stare at the sweater and my eyes soon move to the ring on my finger instead.

'Can you take Morgan into the living room?' Pepper asked Happy. He nodded and led Morgan back down the steps. Pepper sat down across from me. I don't look at her. 'He never stopped thinking about you, Maya. Pictures all around the house, telling Morgan everything about you since she was born. He's happy that he got to see you one last time. I know he is.'

'I know,' I say, looking at her as a tear falls down my cheek. 'But why did he have to go?'

'I don't know, Maya,' she said. 'I'm sorry. About everything.'
