It was a weird group on the jet. I got on with the twins behind me. We were the last to board and I gave my dad a reassuring smile. I sit down in one of the seats trying to contemplate how we were going to actually win. This was my first real battle and I felt like I hadn't had a proper night's sleep in three days.

'Ultron knows we're coming,' Steve started. 'Odds are, we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out. All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us.' He glances back at the chair Bruce sits in for a moment. 'Ultron thinks we're monsters,' he looks at me, 'and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right.'

'Maya,' my dad said. I look at him and he motions me to come up as he drives the jet.

I lean over his seat and say, 'What's up?'

'I want you to stick by Clint or Steve on this one,' he said. 'I don't want you to come with me to find Ultron.'

'Okay,' I said. 'Although, I can handle myself.'

'Yeah, yeah,' he said. 'Just do as I say. And stay safe, okay?'

    'Always do.'

The ride seemed much faster than it should have been. I slide my mask on and go over to Clint.

'Mind some company down there?' I ask.

'If it's you, then no I do not,' he said. I smile.

I stood with Clint on the street, trying to help with the evacuation. It was a lot harder than you may think to get a bunch of people off the city. It didn't become any easier when the robots came. I helped Wanda create a force field on the bridge to let some of the people get away. But we both got blasted back after a couple minutes, only being able to keep it strong for so long as Clint shot arrows blowing them up. It got even harder when the place started rising. Losing balance, I slightly grabbed onto Clint's arm.

'What the hell,' I whispered, as Sokovia starts flying. Flying!

I fly up a little as I watch the whole of Sokovia rising into the sky. Terrified people everywhere. I land next to Clint and shake my head at him. This wasn't going to be as easy as I thought. A rising city is a lot worse than anything I could have come up with. Wanda knelt by a car, trying to keep steady.

'Do you see?' Ultron's voice came from one of the robots. 'The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computer, turn my own flesh against me.' Clint shot an arrow at it, only for another to take its place. 'It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal.' I rip it apart. The stupid robot made me angry.

'Cap, you got incoming,' my dad said over comms. I look up to see more robots.

'Incoming already came in,' Cap said. 'Stark, you worry about bringing they city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off.'

Wanda helps get a kid to safety as Clint and I work on tearing the things apart. We are soon very, very out numbered.  One particular robot comes flying towards me, as Clint thrusts Wanda and I into a building through a window. I was done being thrown into things. We hide behind the wall as Wanda starts to break down.
