Nick took my hand and we walked around the park for a bit, just talking about random things. After a while Nick took me to his car,
"Don't ask where we are going. It's a surprise," We listened to music in the car. We drove for half an hour until we reached a grassed area. There was a stage set up, lanterns were around in the trees and all of my friends were there. My favourite music was playing too. I was so excited. I looked at Nick. He smiled at me, feeling my excitement. We got out of the car and walked to join the party that Nick had organised for me,
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!" Everyone screamed as they saw Nick and I approach the party. I went around saying hello to everyone and thank you for coming. Onika, Lexi, Skye and I took the dance floor and didn't stop singing and dancing the whole time. There was a photo booth too, which we couldn't stop using. It was the best night ever. Nick and I danced to some of our favourite songs and had our photo taken at the photo booth too. On the stage there were microphones and anyone who wanted to sing to a song could just simply walk into the stage and sing. Lexi, Skye and Onika insisted that I sung at least one song. I got to choose what one. I ended up picking Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding just to bring back memories of the formal that Nick and I went to together.I got up on the stage and approached the microphone. Everyone was watching me (the birthday girl) to see if I was any good at singing. The song started and I started singing. I started off a bit shaky but got better throughout the song. The whole time I was singing I kept eye contact with Nick, knowing that he would remember the formal. The song came to an end and everyone started applauding me for my performance. I was so glad. I started to walk off of the stage but Onika, Skye, Lexi and most importantly Nick wanted me to sing another song. For the rest of the night I was pretty much singing songs on the stage. It was great. I had a photo with everyone before they left. The last five people there were Onika, Skye, Lexi, Nick and myself. We were still dancing to the music and having a whole lot of fun,
"You're an amazing singer. You never told me you could sing," Nick said as we were dancing to Up by Demi Lovato and Olly Murs,
"I never did because I didn't think I was a good singer," I replied to Nick. He smiled, looking down and shaking his head,
"You're too humble. You're much better than what you think or say you are. Do you know that?" Nick said complementing me,
"No I don't know that. I don't like being full of myself," I said saying the words that I live by. It's true that I don't like being full of myself. I don't like people that are full of themselves either,
"You're personality is the best. You are a humble, loving, beautiful, compassionate and sympathetic woman. I love you for that," Nick said kissing me on the forehead,
"I love you," I whispered in Nick's ear as we danced the night away.
