Nick's POV
The next day we found out more information about Grace. She was going to be taken out of the coma to see how she was going and to do a couple of more tests. I was excited that I would be able to hear her beautiful voice again. The doctors said that if she wasn't going well then they would put her back in the coma until she got better. They did what they had to do and Grace's parents and I waited for what seemed like an eternity until we saw her eyelids flutter open,
"Hello? Why am I in the hospital?" Grace's voice seemed more angelic than usual. Her beautiful blue eyes were filled with confusion and worry,
"You got hit by a car when you were going to the shops," I responded to her question. The confusion left her eyes and she took ahold of my hand,
"Oh ok. Will I be alright?" Grace asked. I didn't know how to respond to this so I looked over to Grace's parents for some guidance in my answer,
"You're going to be fine sweetie. Trust me, everything is going to work out," Grace's mum managed to choke out through sobs. Grace picked up that she wasn't going to be alright and looked at me with desperate eyes,
"I've missed you," I said, lifting Grace's soft hand up to my lips to plant a kiss on it. She smiled at me. It seemed fake. Grace's dad picked up on that fact that Grace was worried and decided to leave us two alone, taking Grace's mum with him,
"I'm not going to be alright, aren't I?" Grace spoke in a whisper, just loud enough so I could hear her. I squeezed her hand gently,
"I know that if you put up a fight you are going to be more than alright. You nearly died from the impact the car had on you though. They put you in an induced coma," As the words came out of my mouth I regretted telling Grace that she nearly died. That wasn't going to give her any hope that she was going to get better,
"Ok, so I might die?" Tears wear pooling at the bottom of her eyes. I didn't know whether or not to lie. I just nodded my head slightly. We sat there, holding each others hands and crying. I couldn't imagine a life without Grace Stone.
