"What" Toni replies with a confused look on her face
"You're this fiery, passionate person and then last night happens, and you're just so damn calm." I say with an aggressive tone
"I guess..... I guess I just got to thinking that maybe that's because it didn't matter to you." I say
"Naw Shelby its because I trust you." she says
When she tells me that a little bit of weight leaves my shoulders but it is quickly replaced with fear when I start getting intrusive thoughts.
"What did I do to earn that?" I ask
"You saved my life." she replies
"Okay what if it all blows up?" I ask with fear in my voice
"What if... what if we end up making each other freaking miserable, you know." I quickly blurt out
"What if....what if I hurt you? I've hurt people before..... very badly." I say
"What if our plane crashes and, what if we nose dive into the ocean and, you know end up stranded, and what if we end up lost and starving? All that has already happened." she reminds me
"The worst has already fucking happened I don't think I have it in me to get that scared about something that could be good." she says
After she says this I feel silly for ever being worried and a sudden calmness drifts over me. I play with her hair for a second tucking a small pice of it behind her ear before leaning in to kiss her and her kissing me back our lips crashing into each other like the waves on the sand.

The moment is interrupted when I hear Leah scream "NORA don't fucking move."
I watch confused as I see leah limp over to Nora but my attention is swayed when I hear Martha yell "SHARK"
Everyone's eyes dart to the water I hear Nora yell for Rachel as she runs to her, I grabbed Toni by the wrist and we run down the hill we all stand at the edge of the water watching this take place, I squeezed Toni's hand out of fear and she gives me a squeeze back then with my free hand I grasp my cross necklace praying to God for Nora and Rachel's safety.
