Shelby's POV Today is July 7th its been a few days since we have told the girls and it feels really good to be open. But Leah has been really quiet and distant since we told everyone and I am really confused.
"Hey babe, do you think Leah is acting kind of weird?" I ask quietly
"Yeah, honestly I don't know if it's about us or something else but there is defiantly something up with her." Toni whispers
I nod in agreement. I don't know what to do but Leah is a smart girl if she thinks something is up I want to know about it, but we have been talking to each other a lot lately so if there is something up I'm surprised she hasn't come to me and told me yet. But maybe I should ask Fatin she always seems to know what's up with Leah.
"Hey Fatin can we talk for a second?" I ask
"Sure hot stuff, what's up?" Fatin asks
"Not hear" I tell her as I begin to drag her away from the other girls
"Okay, Shelby not to say that I haven't thought about it, but are you sure you wanna jump in to having another secret lover so soon." Fatin says with a giggle
"Haha, no this isn't about me Fatin this is about Leah." I say seriously
"What Leah what about her, is she okay?" Fatin asks nervously
"I don't know, that's why I am talking to you I mean haven't you noticed she has been acting really weird lately she has been super quiet and distant, I'm worried." I tell Fatin
"Yeah I mean I had kind of noticed something was off but she's Leah ya know I figured if something was up she would tell me. " Fatin says
"okay well something is up and she has not told you so you need to go talk to her I would but you too are closer than we are so I think she would be quicker to tell you than me ya know. " I say to Fatin
"Yeah okay, all go talk to her." Fatin says
After that we head back to the other girls Fatin pulls Leah aside and I pull Toni aside.
"I talked to Fatin she said she noticed something was up too so she gonna talk to Leah." I tell Toni
"okay, good." Toni says
after a few minutes of Leah and Fatin talking I hear Fatin's voice she sounds kind of angry "Fine then go tell them yourself." she says
Leah and Fatin walk back toward us and sit down, we all do the same.
" What's up guys?" Dot asks
"it's nothing you're all just gonna call me crazy." Leah says sadly
"No Leah, if you're so sure go ahead and tell then ." Fatin says
"Fine" Leah says clearly as pissed off as Fatin
"okay well it's about Toni and Shelby." Leah says
when those words come out of her mouth my jaw drops and there's a pit in my stomach. What does she mean it's about me and Toni what did we do. I wait in anticipation for Leah to finish her thought.
"I think they might be a part of this too, I mean Shelby has been agreeing with me and trying to get closer to me lately but maybe that was just to throw me off her trail, Like I said before Shelby is so positive and she does those ice breakers and gets info about us plus she found all those life-saving bags. And Toni anytime I talk about this stuff she treats me like I am crazy, and after jennets body went missing she was so quick to believe Nora without even giving it another thought and she gets in fights she causes drama, she distracts us plus the other day she is the one that found that medical bag." Leah explains
"Leah stop this is going too far your accusing Toni of...." Dot gets chocked up on her words
"Of tampering with Jennets body." she says quietly
I don't even know what to say and I think Toni feels the same way because we both remain silent, how could Leah think that after everything we have been through I mean she apologized for accusing me and she helped me when I went a bit crazy for a second there, and we also have been talking about this stuff I mean I was starting to believe her.
"Leah I thought you said Nora was the one behind all of this, not Toni and Shelby." Martha says softly
"No I think all three of them are behind this I mean think about it Nora was here to like facilitate us and keep us together right, well whoever is running this whole thing would have to shut it down if there was no longer someone here to do that wouldn't they, so maybe there were multiple. Plus how can you be all happy and hooking up and stuff at a time like this, because they know we aren't really in danger. " Leah tells Fatin
"LEAH STOP NO ONE IS A PART OF THIS YOU CRAZY BITCH NORA IS EITHER MISSING OR DEAD SO KEEP HER NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH AND YOUR JUST MAD THAT TONI AND SHELBY FOUND EACH OTHER BECAUSE YOU'RE STILL OBSESSING OVER YOUR MIDDLE AGED BOY TOY." Rachel screams at Leah I mean Rachel looked pissed but I didn't think she would say that
Leah just looks down at her feet.
"Hey, Rachel take it easy." Martha says
"Listen girl I love you, and honestly that's a good theory but did you ever just think it might have been a natural human attraction that they couldn't help. And maybe Shelby is just a positive person and maybe drama is happening because it's a bunch of teenage girls stranded on an island together not because Toni is not starting drama to distract us." Fatin says softly
Although I'm pissed I understand were Leah is coming from I mean with all the crazy stuff that has been going on I can see how she might want to find someone to blame or some way to piece everything together.
"Leah maybe we should be accusing you I mean doing shit like this all the time would be a really good way to throw us off your trail right. And you want to talk about me starting drama I mean you stir shit up all the time, I'm pretty sure you have either gotten in a huge fight or accused every single person here but Marty of being a part of all this seriously you were even suspicious of the FUCKING manikin for a minute there." Toni screams
"Hey, Toni calm down." I say to her
"Calm down you have got to be kidding me Shelby are you really taking her side."
"No I'm not taking anyone's side Toni but after everything that's happened can't you see why she might try to piece things together, she trying to make sense of things just like the rest of us sure there are better ways to go about it but still can you try to cut her some slack."
"Shelby if you are seriously taking her side if you are seriously believing this then you are just as crazy as she is." Toni yells as she walks away
I grab her arm to try and stop her.
"Don't touch me." she says sternly
I don't know what to do and neither does anyone else because we are all just sitting there shocked.
"All go after her this isn't my first rodeo." Martha says while putting her hand on my shoulder
