Scar and Bdubs stood in the town hall. When Scar looked over to Bdubs he noticed he looked very worried. Scar walked over to him and spoke.

"Don't worry about it. They might not even be coming and if they do we'll stop them. We have to stop them."

Bdubs face changed from a worried look to a determined look. "You're right. We will. But what are we stopping them from getting?"

Scar walked over to a keypad on the wall and typed in a code. A lever popped out of the wall and Scar pulled it. The floor dropped down revealing a staircase. Scar looked at Bdubs. "Come on, let's be quick." They both walked down the staircase. The room was filled with sealed cases and when Scar opened one it was filled with iskallium. They quickly left, they couldn't give Iskall and the rest a chance to catch them by surprise.

"What do they need it for?" Bdubs asked.

"I honestly have no idea. That's what scares me most." Scar replied.

"What is wrong with them?" Bdubs said, bringing up the topic of the missing hermits. "Iskall, Grian, Mumbo, Ren, Wels? What if we lose them, forever?" He looked at the ground.

Scar put his arm around Bdubs and gave him a comforting smile. "Hey don't worry about that. We'll get through this and we'll get them through this."

"Yeah you're right." Bdubs smiled and hugged his friend. Their enjoyable moment was interrupted when the door burst open.

Iskall, Grian, Grim and Hels stood behind the town hall, readying for the assault they were about to make. Iskall had made a secret bunker a while ago when they thought the server was going to end. He was wrong but now he has a bunker. He had left Mumbo there to create the machine. Everyone had equipped for their armour and was ready for battle. Iskall looked at Grim.

"Listen, if anyone sees you, you have to kill them. We can't risk getting compromised."

Grim shrugged. "Doesn't bother me. I'll kill anyone I see."

"Great. Now, let's do this."

They group walked around to the door and slammed it open, catching Scar and Bdubs by surprise.

"Remember the plan. Now, let's kill them." Iskall spoke to the others and charged at scar with Grian close behind. Hels ran for Bdubs and grim walked outside and shut the door. Iskall swung at Scar which he blocked with his own netherite sword. Iskall attacked more but it was clear Scar found it hard to fight back. He didn't want to hurt his friend. Grian swung his sword at Scars neck but he saw it coming and blocked then moved into a counter attack but Grian easily blocked. Iskall smirked, there was no way in hell Scar could keep up against both of them. They continued attacking as Scar grew more and more tired. He didn't let a single blade touch him but it was clear he was getting worn out.

"Just keep attacking." He said to Grian. "He can't dodge forever."

Meanwhile Helsknight was attacking Bdubs and overpowering him. "Wels? What's wrong with you?" Bdubs swung at him aiming for the chinks in his dark armour but Hels blocked and counter attack and his sword made contact with Bdubs leg. He gasped in pain and sliced at Hels side. Hels couldn't block in time and it sliced through the gap in his armour. "Alright, you're getting it now you little human pest." He growled at Bdubs. He pushed his sword deep in Bdubs stomach and the victim screamed in pain. Hels pulled the blade out and smiled, proud of what he had done. Scar let out a battle cry and sped up his attacks and managed to push Grian to the ground and swipe at iskall's head leaving him no choice but to duck. He took this distraction to shoot a arrow at Hels. As the nether knight dodged it he ran and picked up Bdubs. He quickly ran for the door.

Grim sat in the steps outside. He looked at the scythe in his hand. He had flashbacks to last year in season six when It first happened. Demise. It was funny. Back then Grian and caused it and now, Iskall had caused it and now he was on a team with both of them. He chuckled. Grimdog looked around. He has his eyes set out for other hermits. He wouldn't have any problem killing any of them. He was quite hungry anyway. He knew Ren would have had a problem but he wasn't Ren anymore. Grim had never formed a relationship with anyone. Well, expect for... It didn't matter. She would've forgotten anyway.

"Ren?" A confused voice asked.

He sighed and stood up, ready for a fight. He looked over and saw who it was. Oh no. Standing in front of him was Stressmonster. He instantly had a flashback to demise. He thought of sitting in the lonely graveyard and a greyskinned Stress crawled out of a tomb. They had quickly grown close and made multiple traps for the other hermits together. This was bad.

"Ren is this what I think it is? Xisuma turned that spell off. This shouldn't be happening."

Grim stood up and raised his scythe. Stress quickly recoiled back.

"Ren what are you doing? Stop!"

Grim closed his eyes. "I'm sorry." A tear rolled down his face. He readied to swing his scythe but just couldn't bring him self to do it. He dropped to his knees. What would iskall think? Wait, since when do I care what that poser thought? He looked a stress. "Run, now. Before it's too late." His sunglasses dropped off his head and he looked to the ground as tears dripped. "I'm going to spare you this time because I can't bring my self to do it but next time you won't be so lucky." He chuckled. He gave her a smile and said. "get out of here." Stress ran away and as she did so she pulled her phone out. Presumably to call Xisuma. Behind him the door burst open and Scar holding a very injured Bdubs ran out. He distantly heard Iskall yell. "Grim, stop him!" It barley affected him and he didn't move. He just stared at that ground. Iskall groaned. Grim heard him mutter under his breath. "I knew he wasn't reliable."

"Bdubs! Hide." Scar called out.

Iskall pulled out his bow and lit a arrow tip on fire. He fired and it lodged in scars arm. Scar yelled in pain. He looked at Bdubs, who hadn't left yet. The colour was draining from his face. Scar ran and grabbed him. They ran off. Hels started to chase them down. "No. Let them go." Hels shrugged and put his sword away. "Grian, come with me. Hels, watch Grim. I don't know what's wrong with him."

Grian and Iskall walked back into the town hall. Iskall put the code in a keypad.

"How do you know the code?" Grian asked the redstoner.

Iskall paused. Truthfully, he did not know. It was like the plan. He didn't think it up, it just appeared in his brain. It was one of the many clues pointing to the fact there was something bigger happening here. So Iskall just didn't answer his friend.

He pulled the lever and the floor dropped down. He smiled as the two hermits walked down the stairway. He put the contents of the safe in his inventory. The left and walked back to Hels and Grim. The knight had a very confused look on his face. "What the hels happened to him." Iskall looked towards Grim. Or Ren? Now he was confused. His right side was still Grim but his left side was filled with colour. It was Ren. It's like he was split down the middle. He was still on his knees staring at the ground. "Let's get him back to the base." Iskall said to the group.
